Heading To School

Waking up and heading downstairs for breakfast they were both nervous because it was their first day of school. Both of their parents greeted them as they sat down to eat. 

Are you two ready for your first day of school? Usiel asked.

As ready as we can be Mihael said with a nervous chuckle.

It will be fine Raziel said. Your first day is mostly going to be the entrance exam which will just determine what class you will be put in. I am sure you two will do fine since they mostly just test your ability to control mana and use basic magic.

Well that is good to hear but I am still uncomfortable Aeden said. 

Well let's have breakfast and then me and your dad will walk you to school. They allow parents to watch their kids take the tests. Just make sure you don't show any of your special characteristics. We don't want anyone from the church or the demon cults to come after you on your first day. And whatever you do don't take your rings off until you have to.

Yes mom we will be careful. Both Mihael and Aeden replied.

After breakfast both Aeden and Mihael went to take a quick shower before heading off to school. Throwing on some simple clothes they headed out with their parents.

This was their first time leaving the house since they started living in this city. Even though everything seemed medieval the technology seems more advanced than it should be which is probably from having access to magic. Everyone seemed to be wearing simple everyday clothes you could find on earth like jeans and a t-shirt or simple dresses. They assumed they lived in a more middle class area of the city but they couldn't tell. 

Walking towards a massive looking school in the distance that was mostly outside the city. They could see the main part of the school from where they were in the city. It was like a castle that was 5 stories high. Turning around they could see the kings castle in the opposite direction. It was more grand looking than the school but that was probably to not hurt the kings pride. 

After about 20 minutes of walking they finally got near the school. There was a massive crowd of both adults and parents and everyone was waiting outside of a shut gate. After waiting around for awhile the gate finally opened as a voice began speaking.

Hello everyone and welcome to this years entrance exam. This exam is to test the talent of your child and to separate them into the different classes that we have. If your child ends up in a lower class that just means that they need to work harder, it does not mean that they have no talent. If they can use magic then they can learn the voice said. Please follow the path to the main building where the teachers there will began giving your children the first test.

The crowd of people began walking forward towards the main building of the school. The school was like a school on the outside but with 8 towers surrounding it. Each tower had a massive crystal at the top of it and the school itself had an even bigger one on the top. Everyone was pushing and shoving to be the first ones to get to the doors so Mihael, Aeden and their parents decided to hang at the back along with a few other people. They could see what looked like a few nobles at the front. They seemed stuck up from the way they were walking like they were better than everyone else. They probably would have drove a carriage in here if the school would have allowed it. After around 5 minutes of walking they finally got to the inside of the school where everyone began waiting for someone to come speak with them. 

Now that everyone is here let us begin the tests. Parents please head through the doors on the right, there will be a room for you to watch your kids and how they perform. Everyone who wants to take the test please line up in 3 lines. Anyone who argues or tries to cut the line will be banned from taking the test. 

Alright you two we are heading off. Stay calm and you will do excellent on the test Usiel said with a smile. Both her and Raziel hugged their two sons before walking towards the room.

Thanks mom, thanks dad! Aeden and Mihael said with a happy smile. While walking towards one of the 3 lines.

It was finally time for the tests to begin.
