Aubrianne Ivanov POV

"Good, that's so good, Ms. Ivanov, you are doing fantastic, it seems like we can send you home, but I must warn you, I would not be doing my job if I didn't."

Putting on my finest performance to date, I tried my hardest to get through this without looking as debilitated as I felt. I walked for what appeared to be an entire hour when, in actuality, only five minutes had skipped by.

Eyes smoldering, Dr. White looks at me, eyebrows arching with that panty-dropping smile that graced his immaculate lips. "Please take your medication. It is only for the next seven days, and please try not to exert yourself for the following fourteen days, and you will have a full recovery. However, if you experience any headaches or nausea or a runny nose, please consult your doctor and have it checked out immediately."

Well, this is some bullsh!t I sometimes suffer from migraines on any typical day—however, I did not cite that bit of information. I just responded enthusiastically, "OK, Doc, I will!"

Jada gave me that pointed look again.

I know I have been getting these unbearable migraines since I turned sixteen, and it got more alarming as I developed. I managed it with painkillers, but lately, it feels like something is attempting to burst through. No one knew of that last bit.

I ignored her and whispered yell—"Well, let's get me out of here!."

Dr. White and Sheila had departed, and Dr. White gave me a look.

Now I was not an expert, hence the reason why I was unable to decipher exactly what it meant.

It's just that my skin prickled, and my pores rose.

Nevertheless, it quickly moved to the back of my mind when, as soon as Dr. White and Sheila left. I turned to Jada, still sitting at the side of the bed, and whispered, "He is HOTT."

Needing to get that out and surely get Jada's opinion of him.

"Yea, he is alright," Jada admits, "and I noticed he got a haircut, his barber marked and shaded him to perfection, even had his edges looking fresh and crisp." She shrugs, "Seems as though he was preparing himself to get into more panties."

"Yea, I figured the same. He undoubtedly looks the type." I said, now rolling onto my side to face Jada. I leaned on an elbow.

Jada was not too fascinated or affected as Aubrianne was because she had picked up a vibe from Dr. White today like his intentions were not pure towards Aubrianne, and Jada was not about to sit back and ignore this vibe, not after what she did with Ron. She vowed never to make that mistake again.

Although she wonders what could possibly be up his sleeve, however in the end, she chalks it up to 'he probably was bad company' as he looks like the player type.

He was probably sleeping with all the nurses at this hospital and telling each one of them, don't tell anyone and to let's keep it between us. Yes, that must be it.

Though, in reality, she was not sure. She only assumed it because she had had personal experiences with those player types.

She hoped Aubrianne was not looking to go down that well. Nevertheless, she would be here for Aubri in any way she could.

"Oh my god, girrrllll, where did he come from, though? I didn't even notice how hot he was the first time he spoke to me. I almost wondered if I had got a new doctor," I said, grinning like a mad woman.

Jada chuckles, "well, you were a bit muddled, and your emotions were running wild as you were processing things, Aubri, so I mean, I can comprehend how his looks were the farthest thing from your mind," she says reassuringly, looking at me with compassion.

Though I was just trying to be funny, it was true. I did not notice Dr. White yesterday.

"You know what? You are right!" I agreed.

"You bet I am." She shoves my hand, which rests comfortably on the bed for emphasis.

I smiled, shaking my head, and I went on. "I definitely noticed today, though, the second time around." But then I quickly remembered my embarrassing moment and said, while hiding my face, "oh Jada... but then I completely embarrassed myself, though."

"Well, at least you got to fill your eyes today," she said mischievously.

I smiled, "Oh yes, I did. Indeed I did."

I then laid my head back on the pillow and closed my eyes as I gathered my wits about me before I got busy getting ready.

When Jada asked as she observed me, "Hey, you OK, ready to get out of here?"

Turning my head on the pillow to look at her, I stretched and said, "yea, I am. Can you grab my bag?" And with that, I did the necessary to check out and got ready.

On our drive back to Jada's place, it was quiet for a long while, with nobody saying anything.

However, before she dives into filling me in on what happened after I was knocked out, I decided to start the conversation, thinking maybe she wanted to give me space.

Then I look at her, an eyebrow arch, and ask incredulously, "A fall? What was that about?"

She glances at me with her raised eyebrows, looking at me like it is the most obvious thing in the world. Then she looks back at the road and says, "Aubri, you know very well that John would want to handle Ron on his own—his way, and that means no cops involved."

I simply nodded my head slowly, unsure of how I felt about the truth of the situation, and replied, "yeah, that is true," and changed the subject. I was not ready to face my sentiments towards him, who shall not be named.

We fell into silence, well more like my mind drifted as usual, this time to my plans for tonight, and I then turned to her, telling her that Saturday was just for me to relax and go hang out at the club with the girls....pshh not anymore, I thought the last part.

I was not going back to that club, ever, though when I left, it was already my plan to never return. However, given the recent events, I would not be going to relax there tonight. Even though I know the individual would not be there.

Still..., I just, I didn't want to.

"Don't worry about it, Aubri. If you don't want to, of course, we don't have to," she assures me, assessing my facial expressions and maybe sensing my change of heart.

I looked over at her, smiled, and said, "OK, good."

Then, after a moment of steeling myself, I encouraged her to fill me in on what had transpired.

She sighed, but she went on to give me the details after a good minute or two.

"So Girl hmn," she starts, then she sighs again.

After a moment, she continued, "OK, so the party was in full swing, all the regulars and patrons were gone, and it was just the club family left. Devon turned up the music a bit as we danced. As you know, the music lowered when the dance ended as people began to leave."

"Yea."

"Right, and so we sort of ran around preparing," she quickly glanced at me. "You know, merely having a good time anticipating your arrival so we can get the party going."

She takes a deep breath, exhales, then continues, "and we all eventually gathered around. Kylynn rolled out the goodbye and graduation cake in one. You should have seen it, but don't worry, I took a lot of pictures."

"Oh, thank god," I gasped, happy she took pictures and was even more so with what she said next.

"And don't worry, we got a big chunk in the fridge, anyways...I was making sure all our shots were lined up, amongst other things, and in all our preparations, we noticed you still weren't around."

"I had thought that you were taking rather long to come out of the changing room."

"But I just brushed it off, rolling my eyes and joking about the situation. I said something like....oh my goodness, guys, this girrrllll hmn, she can really overdo sometimes."

"Imagine she is late for her own goodbye celebration, but you know what? I expected nothing less, and we just laughed."

She looks at me apologetically as if it was her fault.

"Stop that right now," I encouraged her; "you are not responsible for what HE did."

Jada still persists, shaking her head. She says, "I joked around and brushed things off when I should have been looking for you," her voice breaking.

"I understand, but you can't beat yourself up about it. Remember you were having fun. It was a fun night, and no one expected this turn of events." I reassured her.

I stole a peek at her and felt like she was still beating herself up about the situation, but I assured her it was not her fault. It is not like she knew. She didn't. This was a strange event that no one saw coming or expected, especially from HIM...
