Chapter 72

Removing the domain, Elden walked away and teleported to his seat, and sat down, waiting for the next fight to happen.

Everyone looked at Langris, who was shaking from the fear before falling to his knees.

Julius just looked at this with a complicated gaze. On one hand, he wanted to know what Elden did and ask him about it. But on the other, he was thinking of ways to counter that spell.

Just because they are friends they won't show mercy to each other if either of them crosses a line.

The black bulls just stared at Langris. They didn't feel the effects but they could tell that it was an insanely strong spell.

Asta could just feel the fear radiating off Langris.

" Langris. Can you still fight in the next round?" Asta asked.

That snapped Langris out of his trance as rage bottled to the surface again after it retreated from Elden's move.

" Of course I'm fine. You are a commoner. You won't win. " Langris yelled.

" He's okay now. " Asta said.

" Yes. Thank you, Asta. Well then get to your positions. The fight will soon start for you. "

Julius sat next to Elden as the fight was about to start.

" So what was that spell you used? " Julius asked as he looked at Elden.

" Like I said it's a domain. I basically trap people in an alternate dimension I made beforehand. " Elden said.

" I see. Thank you for not killing Langris. " Julius said.

" Don't worry. I wasn't really offended. I just wanted to see how he would react. It's fun laughing at another person's stupidity. " Elden said.

" Guess so. " Julius said.

" Langris will attack by himself. " Asta said.

" That's true. Considering that he wants to prove that we are inferior. " Zora said.

" So what should we do? " Mimosa asked.

" I can take care of the offense. " Asta said.

" Just get me in close to finish him off. "

" Sounds fun. Why not? " Zora said.

" Okay. "

" Listen up. Both of you will stay here and guard the crystal. Font interfere. You'll only get in the way. " Langris said.

The other 2 just nodded. They didn't want to deal with Langris.

Langris immediately went after the other team leaving his teammates behind.

He didn't dare at the moment. He just wanted to show his superiority over them.

He soon saw them come towards him together. Seeing that he attacked.

" Die!! "

Sending his attacks at them, Zora stood in front of Langris attacks and absorbed them.

Asta immediately ran from behind Zora and rushed towards Langris.

Langris saw this and attacked Asta. Orbs of space energy rushed towards Asta. Taking out the demon dweller's sword, he dodged the first one and blocked the next with the flat side of his sword.

Spinning his body and the sword he blocked and dodged all of Langris assaults and kept going.

Ki didn't work as Langris merely threw the orbs at him and didn't aim at a specific place on his body.

The second time he did as Asta bloke them easily by using both swords at the same time.

Langris looked at this with rage building up from within him to a new level.

" Loser. "Elden's words echoed in his mind.

His rage went to a new level as his previous attacks on Asta disappeared. Asta looked at Langris who was releasing a lot of mana.

" I am not a loser. " He yelled as he attacked Asta.

Multiple orbs flew straight towards Asta. The amount of them was immense.

Asta just looked at those orbs coming towards him.

He couldn't read Langris attacks as they were random. Their target was him that's all.

Born were aimed at a part of his body or using any strategy.

As the orbs approached Asta, he transformed in his devil form and rushed towards Langris.

He cut through all of Langris easily by spinning around to make a tornado cancel out his orbs.

" I'll kill you!! Die!! " Langris said as he brought his arm down to slash through space.

Asta accelerated and appeared in front of Langris.

' Black meteorite. '

Asta slashed at Langris and appeared behind him. He got out of his devil form as Langris had a large slash wound on his chest and fell to the floor.

" I'll kill you. I'm the superior person. I have to win. " Langris muttered as he moved to get up.

" Your magic is amazing. You and Finral are different people. Don't try to better than him, just be yourself. " Asta said.

Langris looked at him before Asta knocked him out.

Asta said nothing as the crystal of the other team was destroyed by Zora.

They won the match.
