Chapter 73

Langris was taken off the field to get treated while Asta just watched. He could see what had happened to Langris.

Langris had an inferiority complex to his brother and then when Elden shoes his power, it increased this inferiority complex.

After all, Elden showed that he has the capacity to do even more damage with his offensive spatial magic than Langris could. The kick was the fact that Elden was a commoner.

A commoner with spatial magic was better than him and to add insult to injury, Epdne called him a loser.

' I doubt he changed at all. He probably couldn't even hear me before I defeated him. Finral can take care of that later. I'll help him then. '

Elden just stared at Langris. He knew Langris was going to into rage mode but he didn't expect how powerful he would be when in rage mode.

' He was much more powerful than expected.' Elden thought.

'Well, no matter. Asta had trained much harder than before and won without much injury. He will probably face Yuno in the final match.

This should be good. Besides, I don't know how much Asta had trained and what he has learned. '

It was time for the match.

Yuno vs Asta.

Both teams were excited as they stared at each other before going to their places.

The audience was excited. After all the 2 rookie knights from the festival were going to face off in a fight. The best part, they were both commoners.

" I'll face off against Yuno. " Asta said.

" We know. Go have your romantic battle with your boyfriend. " Zora said while picking gunk out of his ear.

' Boyfriend?!! ' Mimosa thought.

' Who is this person? ' Mimosa thought.

" I'll go fight... "

" Asta. Yeah, we know. Just go fight him We will protect the crystal. " Noelle said.

" Okay. "

The match soon started as both Asta and Yuno rushed to meet each other in the middle. Asta ran towards him at a fast pace while Yuno flew using his magic.

They soon meet in the middle ready to fight.

Grinning, Yuno immediately attacks with a wind slash towards Asta.

Asta cut through the magic easily. Clenching his fist around his sword, Asta transformed into his devil form.

Asta looked at Yuno who stared at him. He grinned as well as Asta flew to match him in the air.

" Here I come, Asta. "

" Here I come Yuno. "

Yuno started the match by creating a tornado and launched it towards Asta. Asta rammed into the tornado and went straight towards Yuno.

Yuno quickly dodged and flew away from Asta. Asta quickly chased after him.

' Wind blades shower. '

Sending wind blades at Asta, Asta then spun around like with Langris and cut through all of them.

Yuno dodged his attacks as he swung his sword at him. He then controlled the wind to attack the parts that went covered by black.

Asta got cut in those places. Yuno's eyes widened as retreated.

Asta knew that Yuno found out the problem with this form.

His entire left side isn't covered in anti-magic so he can still get hurt from attacks. His right side is covered in it so attacks get canceled out.

More so they never reach since he just negates them with his sword before they reach.

Asta looked at Yuno who kept escaping. Yuno knew he could play the long game but that wouldn't work since Asta would get him in record time.

So there was only one option.

Go all out from the start.

' Spirit dive. '

Yuno fused with Sylph and looked at Asta.

The audience went wild at Yuno's transformation. His mana skyrocketed even more so.

They knew they would lose yet the person with no magic was facing him.

Julius' eyes shone in excitement from this fight while Elden was excited as well.

'Let's see who would win. This battle was supposed to happen if only Asta wasn't that injured in the original.

This is going to be great. '
