March 11, 2 PM, California.

[Inside a military base]

"So, ya'll happen to know when we'll be let out on a mission again? my trigger finger been real itchy lately." The voice belonged to a man who went by the name, Sonny Quinn.

"Sonny, we've been over this already. We get sent out when command wants us out." Said Jason Hayes.

"I'm with Jason on this one, Sonny" said a voice belonging to a, Ray Perry.

"Fine! You guys can be real boring sometimes! Ain't that right Mr. bossman?" said Sonny.

"Sonny, i enjoy your humor but don't drag me into your drama with diva #1 and diva #2." said Charlie Edwards, team leader of the SEALs.

"HAH! divas!" said Sonny.

"You're one to tal-". Jason tried to say but was interrupted by the door to the barracks opening.

"Uh.. Mr. Edwards? there's a, 'Nick Fury' here for you!" said a random private entering the barracks slightly.

"You know of a guy called Nick Fury, Sonny?" asked Ray.

"Nah, i reckoned one of you divas would've heard about him. I mean, who names their son Nick?" said Sonny.

"Like you're one to talk, who names their kid after a star and manages to misspell it?" said Charlie.

"Boss?! thought you had my back?" Sonny said in an exasperated tone.

"Just jokin' around Sonny." said Charlie in a jokingly tone. "Anyways, i gotta roll out and see what this Nick-guy wants with me." said Charlie.

[Inside a Lieutenants office]

When Charlie enters the office he's met with 4 people, the lieutenant himself, a guy with a bow, a red head in very tight tactical clothing and a suspiciously badass-looking black man.

"Uhh- i take you're Nick Fury, sir?" asks Charlie towards the badass looking man.

"You'd be correct, Charlie "Chas" Edwards" said Nick Fury.

"and.. uh.. may i ask what it is I'm here for, sir?" asked Charlie in a questioningly tone.

"Over 200 missions with a 99,5% success rate. Color me impressed." said Nick Fury.

"Thank you, sir? i still fail to recognize what I'm here for, sir." said Charlie.

Nick Fury takes a short pause. "you know of the events on New York, correct? with the alien invasion?"

"Yes sir, it was a horrible way of confirming that, we are in fact, not alone in space." answered Charlie.

"You see, I'm putting together a task for of sorts. I'm looking for exceptional soldiers that can help me keep just a little more order in this ever changing chaos." said Nick Fury.

"I already have a group, you might know of them as "The Avengers", they're the ones who saved New York 6 months ago."

"So; you want me to join the Avengers?"

"Well.. No."
