Chapter 3- River

As George woke up from his deep sleep, the first thing that hit him, was that he is alive. Opening eyes he was met rather different sight. He could see everything clearly, but all seemed to be bit more saturated, with colors unlike before.

Using his left hand, to finally take his head out of wolf's body, he was yet again, met with sight of bloody wasteland.

Looking at his hand. He saw that it was rather pale, different to before, where he had vivid tan from summers spent under boiling sun. Next were his nails, that turned heavy dark brown and were much sharper.

Still laying on ground he looked at formerly torn of parts of his body. His leg and hand were now back and same went from all of the bites from monsters.

Finally standing up he noticed that he became just a bit more taller standing at the height of around 2,15 meters(7 feet). Also his body mass subsided as his before bulging muscles were now rather thin and toned on his body.

Next thing he noticed, was that his hair had become gray and long now reaching his shoulder blades.

After ending this little exploring of his new self, a flood of memories and emotions, rushed back into his head.

'Maria.'

'Where was she ?'

Slowly turning and looking for his daughter George scouted whole village. But. He didn't see her anywhere.

Slowly strolling through wasteland he tried to pick up slightest clue where he could find her.

When he finally strode into farmlands near river he saw small daisy tiara that Maria always wore. Even though those were live daisies, they never rot.

Walking along the river he spotted child figure laying down in distance. He rushed to the side of child to confirm its identity.

It was Maria.
