Demon King Ascension System

If you don’t know anything, you might think Blake had a perfect life. Good-looking face that made everyone turn their heads, an athletic physique, photographic memory and a good head that let him ace all of his exams, and also a kind heart to prop it all up. But you couldn’t be more wrong as in a world where even a three-year-old kid could use mana, Blake was one of the unfortunate ones who couldn’t utilize the magical power that enabled humans to break past their limits and defeat the powerful demons that used nether instead of mana to cast their own demonic spells. Looks of disdain, mockeries, and even straight-up bullying were not an uncommon occurrence for him as he had to deal with them every single day. One day, the bullies went too far and almost killed him. The pent-up rage and hatred in his heart peaked up as he remembered the faces of his bullies that had beaten him half to death. He thought he would finally die when his head was suddenly struck by a severe headache and his eyes went dark. But never did he expect when he regained his consciousness he would find a pair of horns on his forehead, sharp claws on the tip of his fingers, and jet black skin covering his body from head to toe. Follow Blake’s journey as he became the master of the nether and demonic spells, climbing the ranks of the demon realm as he gathered his own demon followers, and finding out the real truth veiled in his home world while creating legends for himself both in the demon world and in the world where he came from. ====== *Cover is not mine, if you are the owner and want me to take it down, just contact me, and I will do so.

Catching The Brownish Demon (1)

Both Robus and the brownish demon noticed Blake suddenly shooting himself through the air and landing somewhere close to the two of them.

But neither of them noticed the runes that Blake was drawing in the front of his body while he was still in mid air.

So when Blake shouted, "Taste your own shit, you annoying, rude, and uncultured humanoid demon!"

Both Robus and the brownish demon turned their heads towards Blake and saw a glimpse of runes flashing and disappearing into thin air.

Robus didn't know what kind of spell Blake had cast this time, but he prepared himself as he knew that Blake usually had cast something useful that would either end their enemies or give him the chance he needed to finish off their opponents.

90% of the time it was the case when Robus and Blake fought together, so Robus just stared at the brownish demon and prepared his body to jump into action right any second after Blake's spell had manifested.

On the other hand, the brownish demon also didn't know what kind of spell Blake had cast even with Blake's cue of him tasting his own shit since he wasn't able to see the runes clearly when they flashed and he didn't understand the concept of slang words.

However, the brownish demon certainly felt the nether gathering on the ground around him.

It was quite a familiar feeling for the brownish demon, but the brownish demon couldn't quite pinpoint what kind of spell Blake had cast just from the nether gathering in his surroundings.

Feeling that the nether gathered around him instead of below him, the brownish demon decided to stay standing in place and stay where there weren't any unusual amount of nether gathering to avoid getting struck directly by the spell.

But of course, the brownish demon still prepared himself to receive the spell that was about to come.

The brownish demon then waved his hands several times in four different directions, covering his every front with earth walls, making it difficult for any kind of spells from reaching him as they would have to go through and break those earth walls first.

And remembering how powerful the spell that Blake had cast earlier had incapacitated the greenish demon in a matter of seconds, the brownish demon didn't stop at only summoning a layer of earth walls as he created several more earth walls, creating a second and a third layer of earth walls to hole himself in and protect himself from Blake's unknown spell.

But when the spell had actually manifested, the brownish demon couldn't help but to just stare blankly at his surroundings as he saw a circular earth wall rise from the ground around him, encompassing him and the layers of earth walls that he had created to protect himself in.

Holing himself behind those earth walls was a response that came into fruition due to Blake's terrifying spell earlier that had made quite a huge impression on the brownish demon's mind.

And creating a barricade or a wall that could protect himself from Blake's spell was a natural response that the brownish demon's instinct told him to do.

Just imagining those dozens if not hundreds of darkness tendrils appearing from the ground and stabbing themselves onto his body, how could the brownish demon not think of creating a wall to prevent those darkness tendrils from ever reaching him?

However, instinct wasn't something that was correct all the time as sometimes instinct came not only from our prior experiences with certain situations but also from the intense emotions that we were currently feeling.

And in the brownish demon's case, it was the fear of Blake's darkness tendrils latching onto him and gluing him to the ground just like what happened to the greenish demon.

So when the brownish demon followed his instincts and created thick walls to hole himself in, it worked against him as Blake's plan to keep the brownish demon in check and stay in his place had worked successfully.

Upon the circular earth wall rising and finally keeping the brownish demon right in the dead center of the layers of earth walls, Blake quickly continued moving his fingers as he started drawing more sets of runes to cast even more spells.

With the brownish demon keeping himself standing in one place, Blake couldn't be happier as he cast Vera's darkness binding spell.

The spell could detect the position of its target on its own without you having to adjust the position of the spell manually.

And in a position where Blake's target was barricaded inside a tall earth wall that obstructed his view, what other spell that was perfect for the job?

Blake cast each of the variants of Vera's original spell that he learned on his day one of arriving at the demon realm.

The darkness binding spell and the darkness tendril spikes.

One spell was created to make as many holes as possible in your opponent's body while the other one was created to also create holes but also keep your opponent restricted in place.

And when the two spells were combined, the result was none other than a lot of holes!

Inside the layers of earth walls, the brownish demon was waiting patiently for what was about to come as he didn't feel any more nether around him after the circular earth wall that he was very familiar with appeared around him and closed him off from the outside world.

When seeing the circular earth wall, the brownish demon certainly felt it was something that he was familiar with, but the thought that Blake could steal his spell from just a few looks had never crossed his mind, and only thought that it was a similar spell to his own spell.

And right now, the brownish demon was on high alert to his surroundings, trying his best to be able to feel the nether around him so that he would be able to react as fast as possible if he ever felt nether gathering in a certain direction.

However, the brownish demon would finally find out that he was fucked up when he realized that the direction of where the nether was gathering came from right below him.

And with two spells coming together at the same time, the amount of nether that gathered would certainly make the brownish demon's hairs stand on end.

If he even had one that is.
