Chapter 16: A God

The sky began to display a pale fish-belly white color, and daylight emerged from the distant horizon, gradually replacing the darkness.

The temperature cooled gradually.

Outside the Anchorage base,

Seventeen M1A2 Abrams main battle tanks were positioned in formation on the square, their gun barrels adjusted and aimed at the base's outer wall.

In the sky, Apache, Cobra, and Little Bird armed helicopters stirred the air, their missile turrets at the ready.

In the gradually transitioning black and white sky, F-22 Raptor fighter jets left white contrails as they soared, their AIM-9X Sidewinder air-to-air and air-to-ground missiles locked onto the Anchorage base.

General Augustine appeared at the scene, and the muffled thunder of Gipsy Danger's plasma cannon echoed from inside the base. Without any surprise, the plasma cannon, which could kill monsters head-on, had no effect on the extraterrestrial.

"Lock onto him!" General Augustine's face darkened, and he gave orders from his command vehicle.

The Sea-Based X-Band Radar was designed to track and distinguish small space objects, excelling in missile defense, detection, and target tracking. This radar could detect an object the size of a baseball thousands of kilometers away and distinguish the authenticity of missile warheads.

H'el's unbridled power, even greater than that of missiles, was instantly detected by the radar, which had been slightly adjusted to differentiate the target. It pinpointed him with precision, even when he was just a few meters above the ground.

"Concentrate fire for a precise barrage, open fire," General Augustine ordered.

The M1A2 Abrams main battle tanks, the Apache, Cobra, and Little Bird armed helicopters with their missile turrets, and the F-22 Raptor fighter jets with their AIM-9X Sidewinder missiles, all locked onto H'el.

Without any concern for the ordinary people in Anchorage, the tank unit fired a mixture of various types of armor-piercing and anti-tank rounds, as well as missile shots. They first pierced a gap in Anchorage's outer wall, then directed precise shots toward H'el.

The AGM-114 Hellfire anti-tank missiles carried by the Apache, Cobra, and Little Bird armed helicopters, including laser-guided AGM-114L and millimeter-wave-guided AGM-114R versions, with a range of up to 8 kilometers and speeds of up to Mach 2, simultaneously tore through Anchorage's outer wall and fired at H'el.

Further away, the F-22 Raptor fighter jets, each armed with nearly 3 meters long AIM-9X Sidewinder missiles and similar variants, spontaneously detached from the fighter jet group. They left long contrails as they descended from the sky, penetrating into Anchorage base.

Anchorage base immediately experienced a massive explosion, with a portion of its tall dome overturned, and steel supports blasted into disarray. Thick black smoke enveloped the flames as they rose.

Ordinary people were howling in fear, covering their ears, screaming in terror, and the deafening explosions shattered their eardrums. Humans who were not far from H'el were overturned by the shockwaves, crashing into steel supports, their bones shattered, and their lives extinguished.

Those further away had their eardrums ruptured, blood pouring from their five orifices, a gruesome sight to behold. They began to flee towards the gates.

Explosions continued to erupt around H'el, but his physical sensation was akin to a light slap on the hand, far from painful and completely inconsequential.

However, it was extremely annoying, like someone constantly blaring a horn in your ear, an incessant disturbance. Especially considering his keen hearing, it was even more irritating.

In the midst of flames and black smoke, two prominent red lights began to shine like evil eyes in the abyss.

H'el stood tall with fair skin, crimson eyes beneath his jet-black shoulder-length hair, presenting an eerie appearance. Breaking the sound barrier, he appeared in the sky above the square, his scorching gaze fixed on the tanks.

The tank barrels, helicopter gunships, and fighter jet missiles all began to make slight adjustments, targeting H'el in the sky above the square, preparing for the imminent second wave of concentrated fire.

A searing heat vision emitted from H'el's burning pupils. Starting from the left, the armor of a tank instantly melted into molten iron, emitting a rising plume of smoke. The soldiers inside hadn't even had a chance to scream before they were melted into two halves. The entire tank was sliced in half by the heat vision, and the cut released red-hot molten iron before it exploded. The tank's cannon was blasted away and embedded in the outer wall of the base.

H'el turned slightly, and the second tank suffered the same fate, followed by the third, fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh tanks.

*Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom...*

A single glance from H'el using his heat vision was enough to gauge the hardness of these M1A2 Abrams main battle tanks. For the second tank, he made minor adjustments to the intensity and cutting power of his heat vision, and with a slight turn of his head, he effortlessly sliced six tanks in half, leaving both the tanks and the crew in two halves, with the ground bearing the mark of molten and scorched straight lines.

The efficiency was astonishingly fast, the tanks and the people inside didn't even have time to react before they were gone.

General Augustine, who was in the command vehicle, had trembling hands. These were the Army's main battle tanks, and in just a single turn, they were... gone. The tanks melted so quickly that Augustine felt like he was choking.

This extraterrestrial was nothing like a human.

This level of firepower made him deeply aware of how terrifying the military's combat capabilities were, and even more profoundly aware of H'el's combat strength.

Then, three-meter-long Sidewinder missiles, three in a row, were fired directly at H'el's chest, causing his heart to skip a beat. Who knew, maybe these would work.

The Sea-Based X-Band Radar and the Sidewinder missiles cooperated with precision, converging precisely on one point. What kind of tank or fighter jet could withstand such precise strikes?

However, as they watched the thick black smoke and flames erupt from the three Sidewinder missiles, two burning red heat visions continued to shoot towards the ground where the tank battalion was stationed. General Augustine suddenly felt like his heart had stopped beating, overwhelmed by a sense of despair.

How do you fight this? Even fighter jets can't match your power. You just stand there while missiles are fired at you, and not a hair on your head is harmed.

Within the black smoke and flames, H'el's eyes remained crimson, evil as a demon.

"General, get out of here!" yelled the colonel in the command vehicle, his face contorted with fear. He saw that the remaining ten M1A2 Abrams main battle tanks, no matter how they twisted or tried to move their treads, couldn't escape those two heat visions. One by one, they were sliced in half and exploded, none surviving.

Fear gripped him.

General Augustine suddenly snapped out of his despair, feeling a surge in temperature, an abrupt searing sensation. Before he could react, the two heat visions pierced through the concealed command vehicle, slicing both the vehicle and the occupants in half. Molten iron dripped down, and an explosion followed.

H'el retracted his heat vision, the veins in his eyes gradually calming down. The tank battalion was completely wiped out, and the path carved by the heat vision on the ground was a horrifying sight, emitting the scent of scorched lava.

Turning his gaze towards the armed helicopters, they quickly tilted as if trying to escape. H'el accelerated towards them, generating a sonic boom right where he stood. He reached the helicopters, slapped them one by one, and their tilted rotor blades spun rapidly as they were all knocked down onto the square, exploding and engulfed in black smoke and flames.

The Raptors that were soaring in the sky were also in the midst of flying away when H'el turned back, his eyes once again burning red. His heat vision emitted six focused beams that shot into the sky, hitting the flight paths of the Raptors with pinpoint accuracy. The sky exploded into six fireballs.

Just at this moment, a beam of light shone from the distant horizon, bathing H'el's body in its warm glow. His cells felt as comfortable as if they were drinking warm water when thirsty.

Involuntarily, a smile appeared on H'el's face as he opened his arms and embraced the sunlight. His body in the sky seemed to radiate a halo, his skin glowing as if he were a deity.

The people who had escaped from the base and witnessed this scene were left dumbfounded.
