Chapter 222: She's a Demon (Part 1)
Clara initially struggled in fear when someone grabbed her, but gradually, she stopped resisting. The person who grabbed her began kissing her. The familiar lips made her realize it was Mateo who had captured her. Furious at the scare and his bullying, Clara started to cry.
Mateo, initially trying to playfully tease Clara, was startled when he felt she is angry and immediately let go, panicking, "Clara! What happened to you?"
Once released, Clara stood up and pushed Mateo away. "What's the meaning of silently dragging me here?" she said, both angry and indignant.
Pushing Mateo away again, she turned to leave. Mateo caught up, pulling her back into his arms. "Are you still angry because of Thomas? Clara, I didn't force him to leave, really! Trust me!" Mateo hugged Clara tightly, refusing to let go no matter how she struggled.
