Neffy looked first at the channel, then slid her gaze over the port. Seeing the smoke in the distance, he adjusted the duffel bag over his shoulder as he said, "I think it's better to run. If we stay here, we could get in the way of the evacuation."
Shane nodded, staring at the channel, saying, "If we have to run, let's go at once."
Feeling pressure on his chest while a cold sweat ran down his back. Shane said, "Before I change my mind."
Alister took out his revolvers and, taking a breath, said, "Okay, come on. Keep your head down and follow behind me."
Alister started to walk towards the canal as he said, "Don't even think about splitting up or getting into a battle."
Shane gripped his rifle as he slowly nodded while Neffy clenched her fists and, taking a slow breath, made her breastplate appear. Neffy's chest was engulfed in an intense ball of yellow fire.
