Fire Sisters

Kularb left a loving relationship with Show. She either didn't feel complete, or something was missing. Since he was so perfect. He was so handsome, so rich, so kind, and so capable and hardworking. What could be missing?

Maybe it wasn't him. Maybe it was herself.

She was a mystic studying magic in Italy on the sidelines apart from her studies in university, so she was sensitive to magical energies.

The energy she got from Show was overwhelming. It exceeded her body's capacity to accept the full extent of his love.

It was at the point of no return that she wanted out. The passion fizzled and she had to leave.

Did she love him?

Maybe she did.

However, she didn't cry when she left. Neither did he.

After that switched girlfriends again and again. Nine times, she recalled.

Maybe he was having issues. Maybe he was finding someone who could replace her.

It was just that no one did anything wrong.

The feeling was wrong.

She needed to find out more about it from her mentor.

Her mentor, Lilith Monamber, was coming over to Thailand from Italy to meet her.

Kularb met her in Bangkok in a café selling Clean Food.

Lilith was beautiful as ever. She had long hair and had this mixed European / Asian look though she's more towards the Asian side apart from her big eyes.

Kularb, on the other hand, was more petite and scrawny.

"We really need your help on Sri Lakshmi Island" said Monamber to Kularb at the cafe.

"Oh...Why?" asked Kularb. It didn't sound good.

"My dear Gionna Nicole (Kularb's western name), I need your talent and power really badly. There is a mission I need to carry out, but I can't do it without you. Please help me out."

"The Sri Lakshmi Island, a former British Colony in the Andaman Sea, was subject to a magical curse. All inhabitants were reduced to zombies, but there was no further information about whta happened to it, apart from it being controlled by a witch. My client wants me to investigate and find out more."

"Which means, you don't know the cause?" asked Kularb.

"Yes. I know I am your teacher, but you have talents that I don't have and skills that are beyond me. I'm proud of you, and feel honored to be able to seek your help like this," said Monamber.

"I hope you can help me with this. After all, you have the power of Clan Master Show," said Monamber. "You can use this to defeat the witch."

"Excuse me, What do you mean by defeat the witch?"

"With the Renreiken, you can defeat even gods. That is the legend."

"I don't know anything about that. As for me, I've not fought anything that is god-level before. Plus, please don't be mistaken that I was with Show because of his powers. I really loved him, but somehow as time went by the love fizzled out and I decided it was time to go. Moreover, I reckoned that it would be tough for me to become the wife of the Clan Master given that all my freedom would be taken away."

"The Clan Master whom you spoke of, has passed on."

Kularb froze when she heard that. "Excuse me?"

"He died in an intergalactic war."

"How did you know?" Kularb asked, shocked.

"I have powers that you don't have. I can see what happens up there in space. Powers that Show developed and enabled him to travel light years away to battle evil."

"No wonder, they call you the Mystic of the West," said Kularb.

"Exactly. The world will end sooner than we think if we don't act quickly," said Monamber. "And you're the key to saving it."

Eventually, Kularb arrived on Sri Lakshmi while led by Lilith Monamber. It appeared to be a very developed island. Nothing less could be expected from this less well known British Colony. However, once they arrived, Kularb could not find Lilith in sight. However, the streets were populated by what appeared to be walking dead. The people were wearing a mix of western modern clothing and Indian sarees, but they walked hunchback and their eyes appeared pale white without any pupils and their hands were swinging lifelessly. "Zombies?" "No, they are more like living corpses. It is unlikely for Lilith to make such an error in judgment. I need to finish them. "

Kularb focused energy in her hands and chanted "Soul Cannon", and energy balls flew from her hand onto the enemies. They may be innocent, but they were dead. They would be harmful if left on their own, assuming there were living people left to harm. The souls of those freed from their bodies were absorbed into her amulet strung around her neck.

She walked from the harbour to the town square. That was when she saw 2 ladies in the middle of the town square, and there was no one else but her.

But Kularb felt something from them. The power that she felt was very similar to what she had in her. The Renma Kiryu.

The two women had to be Show's ex-lovers. Kularb was aware that Show had other lovers after she left him, and the Renma Kiryu was proof.

That woman was also thinking the same thing.

The first one was a beautiful lady with a cute face and long hair, though she was short, almost the same height as Kularb herself.

The second one was slightly taller but her face was pretty more like a vixen than cute.

Kularb stepped forward to talk to them. "Your powers seem similar to mine."

"We can feel it too," said the taller girl.

"I can feel heat coming from you", said Kularb. "Do you two control fire?"

"Close enough", said the shorter girl. "I am Devi Mutiara Anjani, and I control the power of the sun. I can turn any form of light into concentrated sunlight and use it as a weapon."

The taller girl then said, "I am Dess Mimi, and I control fire." To add, the word for fire in Burmese is "Mi", which is where her name was derived from.

Dess generated a ball of fire from her hand and Devi created a magical round lens that appeared in the mid-air, and the fire generated light energy that went through the lens that became a beam of energy that attacked Kularb. Kularb dodged in time and she generated a long scarf out of nothing but magical energy from her hand.

"I am Kularb, student of Mystic Lilith Monamber, and you're in for serious trouble."

"Student of Mystic Lilith? What a coincidence! So are we!" said Devi.

"Why are you doing this?" asked Kularb.

"Why don't you ask her why she asked you to come here?" asked Dess.

Dess started generating fireball which became greater inside and formed the shape of a man. Devi also started to create a humanoid being with her magic which appears to be a transparent crystalline object with humanoid shape, and has the ability to walk and move around like humans.

Devi then taunted, "Meet our boyfriends. Now where is yours?"

Kularb then recognized the energies of the two creatures the girls created from their hands.

Back when she was training in Italy, she heard of 9 rich guys who controlled elemental powers calling themselves the 9 knights of nature. They were so handsome, rich, and capable that they could have any girl they want. Each of them had a steady girlfriend whom they cheated on. The three steady girlfriends then went to Mystic Lilith Monamber for help to make their boyfriends loyal to them. After that, she didn't hear much from them.

Apparently a spell was used to make them their loyal slaves.

"I see that you have summoned your boyfriends", said Kularb.

"That's right! If we defeat you, they will be back to normal and they will be loyal to us. Now they serve us as our elemental genies, and we will use the power of the Renma Kiryu obtained from Show and you to bring them back."

Kularb was confused. Lilith asked her to come to this island to help her free this island from evil. But these two ladies attacking her were telling her they were doing Lilith's bidding.

"But why does Mystic Lilith want you to defeat me? I thought there was an evil that we should defeat here!"

"Don't you get it now? She rules this island! Everyone here are her slaves, and that will include you soon enough," said Devi. "Attack her, Surya!" Devi commanded her solar genie slave who was named after the god of the sun.

"Attack her, Suzaku!" commanded Dess. The 'human-torch' man who was made of fire charged towards her.

Kularb suddenly formed multiple duplicates of herself and that number went up to forty. Suzaku and Surya started attacking to destroy them all so as to get the actual one. However, they found nothing from the craters and fire debris they caused.

Devi then asked. "Where did she go?

Kularb suddenly appeared from her invisible state and grabbed Devi by the collar of her cardigan and she created blue flames from her own hands which spread to Devi's own cardigan, setting her on fire, then Kularb tossed her a few feet away. At warp speed, she did the same to Dess. Devi and Dess rolled on the floor to put out the fire.

Suzaku created a ball of fire in his hands. The light from Suzaku's fire acted like a sun that shone through Surya's prism-like body. The rays of the 'sun' focused through his center and became a beam that he used to fire at Kularb.

Kularb was fast and he kept missing.

Suzaku then merged with Surya's prism like body to give him wings and make him taller. Devi and Dess then merged with Suzaku and Surya to form the knee, feet, hand and arm paddings and armor of Surya. Devi formed the paddings and Dess formed the armor and helmet. This new gestalt was called the Hyottoko.

And Kularb had nothing to match its power.

Hyottoko kept firing balls of fire from its mouth at Kularb but she could only keep dodging while the fireballs kept creating craters in the ground. She tried firing balls of soul energy at Hyottoko but to no avail as those attacks didn't make a scratch.

That was when she heard a sound.

"Kularb, my teerak, it's me! Show!"

She paused when he heard the voice. She thought she was imagining things.

At that moment of distraction, a fireball was about to hit her, but a forcefield appeared around her.

"Quick, use the transmutation circle to restore me. That is your only way to fight him. At this rate you'll be vaporized."

Kularb had no choice. She bit her finger to use her blood to form a magic circle on the ground and chanted a spell. At that moment, Show started to appear in the same form he was destroyed when fighting in a galaxy light years away.

"Quick, Kularb, merge with me", said Show.

Kularb then chanted and transformed into a ball of light that went inside Show's body through a gem at the center of his chest.

That was when Show resumed the battle with Hyottoko in his ultimate battle form. Hyottoko fired a few fireballs but Show simply deflected those fireballs back at it, and eventually used the Rensenba to defeat them. All of them disintegrated: Devi, Dess, Suzaku and Surya. Kularb absorbed their souls into her amulet. However, when the souls touched her amulet, she encountered a vision, showing that she was actually Devi in one past life and Dess in another. It turned out that she reincarnated again and again during the same time, but once she died she went back in time to be born again as another person in the past. She was Devi, Dess, and 7 others, all in her past lives. But if she were Devi and Dess, then who was Surya and Suzaku? It turned out that Surya and Suzaku were the past lives of Show himself. However, they left behind their powers for her to use.

After the battle, Kularb reappeared in human form, but Show's divine form disappeared.

She was bewildered by his disappearance, but she had new problems to worry about.

Kularb then had to fight her way through a mob of monsters and zombies to the other side of the island. It was a repetitive process and very tiring, and it was only because she had the Renma Kiryu within her that she could sustain herself, without additional sustenance of water and food.
