As she got back to her apartment after taking many detours, she changed into fresh clothes, then proceeded to brush her hair in front of the tall mirror.
She looked strained.
Not surprising, since she had been doing a lot of head-banging and mind-wrangling.
Mr. Herbert was okay, but then she would have to kill him, once he discovered who she really was.
Her covers had been blown a few times in the past, by her previous boyfriends, and they had paid dearly for it.
Point being, they were all dead.
Now this one seems hell-bent on committing suicide.
Maybe she should play it cool, hopefully he might grow tired, and let her be.

While the Forensic people that came with him got busy, Detective Kesley decided to take a second look at his burnt apartment.
He walked to the door and stared carefully at it. Then he peered down at the lock.
He opened the door very gently, and closed it back.
He noticed an unusual clicking sound.
