Chapter14: Kenta's lessons

One week has passed since Kenta's reawakening.

"Ahhh!".

The winds began to blow ferociously, spiralling around the beast and the guardian.

"I don't even know why I need the basics if I can already beat you with just my curse!" Kibar roared.

Shirogane forced his bruised and bleeding body to stand, blood dripping into the puddle of crimson blood and sweat below him.

He forced the words out of his dry mouth, his voice hoarse "be... because you have what we need and we have what you need to learn, so if I need to become more like you then..., so be it. "

Shirogane's body began to glow a blinding golden orange almost as if had became the sun itself, but this was not just simple infusion he had began to activate his curse mark.

Acting more like his chaotic beast like brother, Shirogane was able to enter the form known as imperial one.

Earth's chosen one roared with excitement as he felt the power surge throughout his upper body.

The energy illuminated off his body and created an aura, which oozed with Shirogane's ever changing confidence.

Following this, Shirogane charged and released fusion energy throughout his right forearm, granting him the release called imperial fist.

His fist matching the colours of a star collided directly with Kibar, who was caught by an overwhelming shock.

A shock that the attack was actually able to deal damage, his once pathetic waste of a younger brother is now looking like he will be able to act on his promise to kill Uzunami.

Hikaru muttered under his breath "so that's it?, Earth really did hold us back."

After saying these few words it was clear Hikaru understood that the curse in its rawest form is an ability of instinct.

It evolves and reacts to the user's emotions and the way they use their strength, so the stronger the emotion the more the curse mark reacts, or in Hikaru's case the way he channels and infuses his energy.

And so the fastest warrior in System seventeen channelled his energy and its flow transformed, almost as if it were lighting.

This resulted in the activation of his form known as acceleration aura but with a slight difference...

Hikaru without knowing what power he truly holds is beginning to master it, being able to hand himself freely over to the hands of his curse allowed him slight mastery resulting in the form known as cloaked with thunder.

Through Hikaru's new flow of electrical energy, he is able to create extremely quiet sounds of thunder around his body.

The thunder is so quiet that no one can hear them with natural methods, thanks to these sounds all types of attacks are slowed down before eventually hitting Hikaru.

Using his new found defence Hikaru moved swiftly into the vicinity of the ruthless Kibar without fear.

Needing a weapon Hikaru found himself creating something similar to his previous encounter, he created a dagger of fusion energy.

Hikaru attempted to slit through the beast's monstrous back but with zero scratches Kibar threw himself to face Hikaru.

Hikaru's fearless attitude was shattered by the overwhelming desire to kill Kibar's aura revealed.

Terrified Hikaru tried to scamper away but...

Kibar made sure all escape was impossible, snapping Hikaru's right arm and lifting him into the air.

Dangling from Kibar's unbreakable grip Hikaru wondered if they truly could ever catch up...

Wanting a challenge Kibar warned "that worked last time but you'll need something stronger then that release".

Seeing his younger brother rapidly approaching, Kibar loosened his grip and threw Hikaru directly into the direction of Shirogane.

Immediately after the beast charged catching Hikaru and stomping on his spine, implanting him into the Earth's surface.

Drawing his attention to his once weak brother Kibar broadened his stance and prepared himself for his next encounter.

Kenta saw the progress of his new students and was caught in amazement of their almost limitless potential.

Kibar's immensely overwhelming strength vs Hikaru's terrifying speed but then...

There is the unbreakable resilience Shirogane possesses, the surprise prodigy being able to make results so fast.

One can't help but think of what Shirogane could achieve in the future.

And one of those people is Kenta who's thoughts allowed hope to fill his soul, hope that one day this disaster of a universe will be behind them all.

But there is still so much left for them to learn and Kenta knows this, just like Torino before him there is only so much he can teach.

So he must usher them into the embers of their full potential and they must kindle the flames themselves.

Kibar roared out with rage as he felt his body rip to pieces, vibrant green light illuminating from the cracks.

The brutal warrior braced himself as he recognised the uncontrollable power Kibar was tapping into.

But just before Kibar could grasp the true power of his energy Shirogane appeared behind him.

Immediately hitting Kibar into the ground, kicking a storm of sand around them.

While no one could see through the sand storm they could hear...

This was followed by the charging of a release as Shirogane warned "you might want to dodge this".

Shirogane's fist resembled something similar to his defence breaker fist but this time there was no laser.

Shirogane poured all his mental strength into this one attack although it is only on the level of a small release.

This move is known as defence tearing fist, a lesser version of defence breaker fist but it also has long lasting effect to anything targeted by it, this effect removes twenty percent of the target's defence for the next three minutes.

The release connected with Kibar's spine, causing the wounded beast to cry out in agony.

Shirogane pulled his fist away allowing for the fastest warrior in System seventeen to create a new imperial dagger.

In which Hikaru wielded it to slice straight through Kibar's weakened back.

Kenta realises that this fight is over and calls for it to end.

In which all warriors stopped their assault but Kibar was readying a new attack in which Kenta knocked the beast onto his knees.

And only one thought enters Kenta's mind and that is, that maybe there is no way to mentor the beast in which he calls his son.

Kenta's teaching method of fighting and copying the other's strengths to remove your own weaknesses had seemed to work for Shirogane and Hikaru but why not Kibar, the brutal warrior wondered as he sacrificed years of his life to regenerated his son's back.

A few hours passed and Kenta brought his students to a mountain top, which seems to be perfectly flat almost as if it was built to be an arena.

The mountain top sat above the clouds, in which once you reached the top you couldn't see the Earth's surface.

While also being almost impossible to climb as being perfectly smooth all the way to the top, the mountain takes either great power or control to scale.

Shirogane in shock says "wait... Torino brought me here once when I was a child to train".

Kenta responded proudly "your former master did not know whether you would remember this place, this is warrior's peak a place in which Earth's greatest warriors come to settle arguments and to train".

"So you came...".

The person who spoke these words was a short young looking man, wielding a almost animal like bow with hooves on either end on the bow, while the base material was a perfect untouched gold almost as if it was sent down from the heavens.

The stranger continued "I really wished you hadn't".

Shirogane as confident as ever threw himself forward and yelled "what do you mean?, who are you?".

Ignoring Shirogane's cry out for answers the stranger proceeded "your arrival here means disaster for not just Earth but all of the realm, if you decide to learn your true heritage then vengeance will come before you and your allies and I pray for both your side and theirs".

Infuriated Kenta argued fearlessly "what would you rather us do?, sit back and let Uzunami win?, I will teach my sons and their ally, I will bring about their legend".

The unknown archer spoke softly "I did not mean to upset any of you, I won't get in your way I just wanted to see whether or not this cursed power would doom me a second time and it appears that I am just a spectator in his game".

The stranger sprung himself from the mountain top and disappeared almost as if he was never there, just like a ghost.
