Chapter 21: Value of the Trees!

The timer turned to zero, and the portal immediately became active. The next moment, the light dots appeared, and their blinding explosion followed that. The light and Fang Yuan then disappeared from the forest.

Even though it was his second experience with the phenomenon, Fang Yuan still felt as uncomfortable as he had felt the last time. He had to sit on the ground and gasp for breath.

A few minutes later, things returned to normal, and he focused on the portal before him.

The timer had started, and it was the same two days worth of wait. He then thought of the storage space and disappeared from the portal room.

He appeared above the space and could see the five trees peacefully lying on the ground. His eyes shone with excitement, calculating the money he would earn from them.

Similar to the last time, the details of the trees appeared. The next moment, Fang Yuan's eyes widened in surprise since one of the five trees had breached through the middle quality and had stepped into the high quality.

Even though there was only a grade of difference between the two, the price difference was like a wide road. High-quality first grade Crimson Wood could be used as a secondary material in the making of second grade talismans, making it a valuable item. It usually went for 1000 to 1500 spirit coins for one kilogram.

Fang Yuan didn't lose himself in excitement and remained calm. There were five trees, four of which were of middle quality. The lightest of the lot weighed 612 kg, which was lower than the last time, but the remaining three were all heavier than that. The heaviest of the lot was 639 kg.

As for the high quality tree, it was the lightest of all five, with its weight being 547.81 kg.

After Fang Yuan calculated it, he found it was a lot of money. Despite the tree being the lightest, it brought him the most money. Since Shengong Linfang wanted the complete tree, Fang Yuan didn't cut it and stored it in the storage pouch given by the former.

Since nothing more was left, he returned to his body, and soon fell asleep.

Time was like a clear stream that kept flowing, and several hours passed in the blink of an eye.

Since Fang Yuan had told his parents about his working in the gym, he couldn't simply stay cooped up in his house the entire day. He promised his siblings that he would keep his safety in mind and left the house.

His destination was the evening market and then the gym. He had the intention of becoming a student and learning how to fight.

Since there was already a meeting time and destination set with Shengong Linfang, Fang Yuan went toward it. It was the same restaurant where the two had made deals.

Fang Yuan was around twenty minutes earlier, but when he walked into the restaurant, he was surprised to find that Shengong Linfang was even earlier than him.

Shengong Linfang simply smiled and gestured for him to join him at the table. Fang Yuan also responded with a smile, walked to the table, and sat on the other seat after a respectful bow.

No matter the situation the day before, and since the two had decided to trade with each other, there was no point in him being hostile and indifferent.

"Senior, here." Fang Yuan immediately took out the storage pouch from his pocket and pushed it to Shengong Linfang.

The latter nodded and then took out another storage pouch and gave it to Fang Yuan. The storage pouch needed Qi to open but since Fang Yuan was only at the second level of Qi refining, he was unable to do that. To solve that, Shengong Linfang gave Fang Yuan a disposable pouch that could be opened by anybody, but that was limited to four times.

Since Fang Yuan had already used it two times, only two chances were left, and after that, it would become unusable. It would have only been one time, but the previous day, when Shengong Linfang gave the pouch, Fang Yuan immediately activated it to see how big the storage was. It was both his acting and excitement; since he was from a poor family, it should be his first time coming into contact with a storage item.

These disposable storage pouches weren't very expensive, so Shengong Linfang decided to pay for them from his side while not affecting the price of the tree in any way.

Shengong Linfang then activated the storage pouch and couldn't help but beam with joy when he saw it was the complete tree.

"What is the weight?" He asked. Looking at the tree, he already had a number but decided to let Fang Yuan state that. He wouldn't mind if Fang Yuan stated one or two kilos higher.

"Senior, it is 612 kg," Fang Yuan honestly responded.

"As per the price of 285 spirit coins per kilogram, the tree will cost 174,420 spirit coins. Let's do it 175,000 spirit coins."

"Since I have promised you an increase of thirty percent if you sell me the complete tree, I need to pay you 227,500 spirit coins."

"Since I have given you 580 extra spirit coins, let's do it as 227 low spirit stones," Shengong Linfang stated.

Fang Yuan's lips twitched when the former talked about the 580 spirit coins, but he remained calm since the two sides were trading.

The next moment, Shengong Linfang took out a bag filled with spirit stones and gave it to Fang Yuan after taking out some stones.

Fang Yuan could hear his loud heartbeat as he held the bag. He cautiously looked around and seeing that no one was looking, Fang Yuan tied it to his belt and covered it with his long shirt.
