Levi closed his eyes for a moment, forcing himself to remain still. Acting on any sudden impulse would only hasten the process, and right now, Jamie was already unconsciously prepared to receive Levi's Core.

The serpent construction had implanted a regular chip into the back of her neck, which would absorb the Core and abilities sucked from Levi, empowering her in turn.
