After some time, we were back to where everyone else could move freely but Matthew was looking at me with a dark expression:
"Whatever we just spoke about stays here, alright? You'd only hear me say that once too."
I shrugged while I was now lying on the floor, "Well, I never really thought of a reward when I saved them. Just a simple head nod or a tap on the shoulder works."
"Haaaaa~ I'm not really used to doing that but my wife asked me to. Well, she's right though… We can't thank you enough for what you've done for them in our absence. I should've prepared more—"
I chuckled, "I thought you were only gonna thank me once?"
He shook his head, "Can I ask you something though?"
"Hmm?"
"Why did you decide... to do all of this?"
"What do you mean why? Isn't it obvious?"
