Vice-president Go Yoo Han moved next to the CEO, wondering why his boss looked anxious. Even though Lim Tae Ri managed CraZe entertainment, all the companies under the Lim family would belong to Lim Do Yun in the future. So he wanted to be on the good grace of his possible future boss.
But he was shocked by the way his boss treated the choreographer. It was entirely different from how they were in the meeting.
Choi Haneul was a clean freak. He is not so obsessed with it, but he used to prefer everything to be clean and prefers not to touch the dirt. He used to get annoyed and squirmy whenever he touched dirt or spilt something over him. So Lim Do Yun was surprised when Haneul did not react as expected.
If Lim Do Yun knew that the super organised little brother did not even care to organise the place and still living in the box, he would have died of a heart attack.
But that was life. Hardship makes one change their lifestyle and perspective for the worst or best.
Choi Haneul wiped everything and asked the other with slight irritation. He was more concerned about wasting the alcohol than ruining the suit. "What now?"
"Do they know…" Lim Do Yun struggled to bring himself to ask the question.
Choi Haneul's body turned rigid, and the anger rose in him. He spoke through the gritted teeth. "What?"
"About…" Swallowing his saliva, Do Yun looked uncomfortable asking the question.
"About me being gay? Everyone in the company knows. SMJ does not interfere in the employee's and idols' personal life. Especially sexuality!" Angry Haneul somehow refrained from saying that SMJ was not filled with assholes like CraZe.
Vice-president Go Yoo Han was startled. The gay scandal would ruin the company's reputation. He understood why CEO Lim asked for the contract to be signed.
Lim Do Yun accepted his brother's sexuality, and he was offended that his brother would even assume that he would be against it. "Not that! "About the plagiarism issue…"
Haneul softened a bit, and he knew how much Do Yun tried to protect him before taking the challenging route to appease a few people. But that did not mean Haneul would say a kind word to Lim Do Yun. "Who do you think hushed it out that false accusation when CraZe threw me out mercilessly?!"
Vice-president Go Yoo Han wanted early retirement. A potential outbreak of gay scandal with an employee or idol and the history of plagiarism… even though if it was false, the company would be doomed if the media catches its whiff.
He either has to make plans for early retirement, which was an easier choice. In contrast, the challenging and impossible choice would be to devise a plan to stop any issues from being leaked to the media.
Suddenly, the man in his thirties felt like he had reached his eighties. Everything felt too much for him.
"It is good then. It is good your CEO cares about you." Lim Do Yun constantly reassured himself as he repeated the words.
He was simply glad that his brother was alive and standing before him. His brother became strong and had reliable people on his side.
"Obviously! He treats me the same way he treats his little brother." Choi Haneul's words stabbed Do Yun, but he was happy too.
"That's good! That's really good! At least you have someone by your side." Lim Do Yun smiled for his brother even though he wished he could stand for his brother.
Maybe back then, he was naive and could not protect his brother, but now he was determined to protect his little brother at all costs. After all, CraZe belonged to his mother, and the company was cheated out of her hand. He would make sure it would end in his brother's hand even if he gets kicked out of the family.
Lost in thoughts for a long time, Lim Do Yun did not know when and how Choi Haneul left the club. He ended up drinking lots of whiskeys.
Vice-president Go Yoo Han had to call CEO Lim's secretary to get the driver to come and give him a hand to take the boss away. The secretary did not come to the meeting as he was busy preparing a few documents for the Lim exports to bag a project with one Australian company.
It was already a miracle that CEO Lim took the time to come for the meeting, hoping to meet SMJ's CEO. But SMJ only sent their lawyer to finalise the collaborative work.
Vice-president Go Yoo Han lost his sleep all night, and he was still puzzled about everything. He did not drink a drop, but everything felt hazy. He was not sure about the relationship between Mr Han and CEO Lim, but it seemed like they had both known each other for a long time.
But he deduced four important things -
Mr Han knew CEO Lim and President Lim!
Mr Han was gay!
Mr Han was caught in a plagiarism scandal, but it was false! But he was sure the media would not give a damn about the truth.
Mr Han was part of CraZe entertainment long back!
Vice-president Go Yoo Han reached the office in the morning, intending to dig out the information on Choi Haneul. They might have a confidentiality agreement signed not to reveal the identity of Mr Han to anyone. But it did not mean he could not search for information regarding Choi Haneul and his past scandal.
For the worst or best, he needs to find all the information and work on a plan to protect the company.
But when he searched through the company's idol trainees, rookies and employee database, he came up with nothing. The fact that he had zero ideas of the timeline in which Haneul was part of CraZe slowed down the process further.
Even if Haneul had a stage name, the company records should have the actual name, at least on the bio data. But he came up with nothing after doing the exhaustive search. He wanted to throw the computer off his office window for not helping him with the search.
Frustrated, Go Yoo Han called the human resource head only to have the conversation go down south unexpectedly.
