Second Death

"Well if I'm gonna level up,might as well run that lap i guess," he sighed as he stood up, seemingly recovered his energy ready to achieve his first quest.

"But won't this mean i have to run a mile every day, just to gain a little exp."

he said with realization.

"I really don't think i want to run a mile every day," he sighed lazily.

"Hey system, isn't there any other way to get exp apart from this hard work?" he asked the system, this time with hope as the shop section was currently locked till the next level, so there had to be another way

[There are numerous ways host can get exp and level up ranging from killing beasts to defeating worthy opponents and completing random quests]

[But with the pathetic stats host posses at the moment, host is advised to stop being a lazy cunt and complete the daily quests given]

"Great, now I'm being insulted by a mere artificial intelligence". henry said with a smug face.

[This mere artificial intelligence is more smarter and even more hardworking than you who literally has a physical body, for shame host, for shame]. The system reprimanded poor henry.

[Host will no longer be insulted as long as host learn to no longer be lazy and also learns to think for himself].

"You just did it again!" he replied as he wished the system ai were physical so he could punch it in the mouth. 

[Host should also be aware that only random quests are optional, daily and seasonal quests are compulsory at the moment]. it continued with it's messages.

"Wait what, why didn't you tell me this before, but what happens if i don't complete this quests?" henry asked with curiosity.

[Host would face serious consequences including stats and death].

"Whaaaat, how can this system be so cruel, i don't want to die because of some stupid quest," he exclaimed.

[Just kidding, but host might received certain punishment including decrease in stats].

"Haha, very funny system, very funny, and i thought artificial intelligence aren't supposed to have emotions but clearly you think you have a sense of humor," he said 

[I am a much more advance creation capable of many functions including pranking and insulting lazy, dumb hosts].

"Wow cool, i hope you have a function that makes you fuck off." henry replied solemnly.

"But you keep saying at the moment, what does that mean." he asked 

[As host levels up the system to a certain point,all quests would become optional]. " ohh i see, what level would i have to reach though."

[That is classified]

"Of course it is." henry said sarcastically.

"Alright then let's complete today's quest, i really can't have any of my stats decreasing, that would just be as good as turning me into an helpless baby." he said as he got into a running stance.

'WHOOOOOSH'

He began his lap through the forest filled with terrifying beast he had yet to encounter, but if course he didn't care as he ran with a speed that would definitely be impressive, if he was in his former world, but in this world it was merely a joke, and henry didn't know that yet.

"Yes I'm definitely fast, that's established, wooooh hoooo!!" he shouted as he kept running, dodging trees branches and jumping over different obstacles in his way like it was child play.

"Yeah I'm unstoppable" he shouted once again getting excited for some reason, but he really was unstoppable,

"Huh what the....." the road ended as he couldn't see anymore trees or grass, just clear skies and a dead end.

"Oh shit, hit the brakes....ahh i mean stop... damn it, what am i even saying," He stuttered out of fear.

"Fuck why can't i stop" he soon realized as he just kept running towards the dead end, he really couldn't stop if he wanted to as he was at full speed and the velocity he had been building from about half a mile where he started was to much that he couldn't control it.

[incoming danger! Host you are heading towards a cliff stop immediately]. The system message showed up, confirming his impending danger.

"What does it look like I'm trying to do!" he screamed

"Shit, this is another dumb way to die, system help," he said desperately.

[I cannot do anything at the moment for the host, host was foolish to begin running at full speed in a whole new body he isn't adapted to].

"what do you mean new body?, and I'm pretty sure i ran at full speed when i was been chased by the lion earlier, and i stop pretty easy," he reprimanded the system as he was already close to the cliff.

[Well, that is host cup of tea].The system replied

"What, fuck you system, you motherfuckin....woah woah woah wahhhhh!!!" his cursing was cut short as he finally fell off the cliff.

"Oh well back to the dark abyss, this world was too dangerous for me anyways, the void might be a safe place for me" henry thought alone as he fell to his death.

'SPLASHHH'

Henry felt his entire body become immersed in water as he had fallen into a large, pretty deep lake just below the cliff, he had escaped death by a wet miracle, swimming up to the surface,

"Hah hah, what I'm alive?" henry asked feeling his entire body checking if he were complete.

"Haha I'm alive, yes take that death! i win again!" henry shouted feeling very lucky and quite invincible, as he had escaped death for the third time that day.

[Yay you made it]. The system message suddenly appeared with a sarcastic message.

"System, oh boy I'm i glad to see your beautiful screen once again," henry replied in a soft tone not minding it's joke.

[Why is host rejoicing]. The system asked

"Why because i just escaped death, you wouldn't understand," he replied

[Host just jumped from frying pan to fire]. The system answered

Literally

"What are you talking about." he asked the system feeling yet another sense of uneasiness.

Replying him, the system message appeared formally confirming his uneasiness

[Danger! Host has entered the black crocs territory, host is advised to get out of there immediately].

and that's when it hit him, the rocks that were all around him, which he paid no attention to earlier where rather black scaly, rough, spiked in structure, these were the black spike crocodiles.

"Why, just fucking why? Why am i been treated this way, am i cursed to always get in trouble everywhere i go, and i just got here." henry lamented as he looked around the lake that was filled with atleast 15 black crocodiles.

[Host, this is no time for regrets and remorse of your shitty life, the crocs are in deep sleep].The system snapped henry out of his sorrowful state.

"How can you tell, what if it's a trap?" henry replied shaking as he was cold and not wearing any shirt, but he had worse things to worry about.

[Because they haven't plunged at you already, black crocs are naturally territorial and violent, they won't even had given you a chance to land before tearing you apart].The system was getting impatient.

"Alright, I'll slowly leave" henry said softly feeling really terrified.

He held his breath then began swimming gently and quietly across the lake, heading through the safest path to land, passing by every death rock around until he was finally out of the lake of horror.

"Hah..hah..this world must really hate me" he said as he panted heavily.

"I'm really starting to prefer the dark abyss," he said, feeling a little traumatized from the past events,when he finally heard a system notification
