the meeting of the guilds pt1

I wake up to a knock at my door and open it to see see one of the younger members of the security squad but all I can remember about him is that he and his brothers are named Larry, Jerry, Harry, and Terry and not caring about the difference between them especially because they all look very similar and even act the same I just ask him what does he want to which he answers that Eve has something important to talk to me about downstairs to which I tell him that I will be right there after which he walks away to go back to his post

After he leaves I shave, wash my face, and strap on my gear including my plate carrier and Gen 4 Glock 20 chambered in 50 GI with a custom mini red dot sight and a tri dot laser that can switch between visual light and infrared spectrums and an 11 inch long Bowie knife and then I toss my brown leather jacket over my plate carrier and walk downstairs

After finding Eve at her usual table overlooking the bar and saying hi to her dogs I ask what's up and she answers me somewhat hesitantly that "Sorry to bother you on your break but I just received a message that we have to go to an emergency meeting of the local guilds"

I answer "Okay but who exactly are the guilds because I usually don't stay anywhere long enough to meet anyone that matters"

"Oh yeah that's right I forgot that you aren't a local. So basically everyone who's part of some kind of trade from gunsmithing to prostitution answers to a guild and guild committee respectively who manages that particular industry within a certain area for an example we belong to the comfort guild south district and we have to report in to the guild anyway because you are a new head of security who was privately hired which is unusual because normally they place someone here and I only took over 2 years ago so they want to evaluate the both of us does that explain everything"

"Yeah that answers everything nicely so are there any rules such as what I can and cannot bring as far as gear goes and do they have anything that we need to deliver to them"

"Other than a restriction of one armed guard and a driver to a representative they do want to take a look at 1UP to see if they can possibly reverse engineer his design for which they will pay you just for a few non-destructive tests if you are ok with it"

"Yeah that should be ok so I'll see you later because I need to unload our cargo trucks so we have space for our stuff and 1UP then we should be ready to go by tomorrow morning"
