Allen's mouth felt dry as the words he heard started to sink in. He looked at Priscilla with an straight face, not even blinking.
Priscilla shifted in her spot, looking at Allen from the corner of her eyes.
"You don't like the idea?" She asked with wavering words.
"No." He said, softly. "I don't want to leave town."
Priscilla leaned forward, her eyebrows furrowed. "Dr. Zweig told me—"
"I don't care what she told you!" Allen rose his voice more than he wanted, quickly clearing his throat after watching Priscilla's expression. "I can't go. Not now."
"Why?" Priscilla inquired, more or less knowing where this was leading.
Allen bit his lower lip slightly. "Iry…"
Priscilla half smiled and squeezed his hands. "I get it, Ari, but don't you think it's for the best? Being away from dad until you can go back on your feet."
