Troubled Heart

All these thoughts ran through Zhang Wei's mind, he didn't know what to do, he couldn't run to anyone for help, his parents would never help him if they knew about his situation, they will just be disappointed and ashamed,but was it really his fault,he just wanted to show sympathy towards Mei but she took advantage of him, but even though he explained it to them, he would still be at fault.

"excuse me sir, a woman is here to see you" Liu Yang said as she got closer to him.

"woman?" Zhang Wei asked as he went downstairs to meet the woman.

His emotions quickly changed when he saw the woman standing in front of him,after he ensured Liu Yang had left he grabbed by the hand and tried to push her out.

"stop it" Mei lashed out.

"I know this came as a surprise to you but you have to accept it" Mei continued.

"what surprise?" Li Na said as she came out of the kitchen were she had been helping some servants clean up,she approached them smiling but inside her heart, she was feeling very uncomfortable. Mei looked at Zhang Wei wondering why he had not told Li Na about the pregnancy, she became angry.

"Noth- Nothing Mei was just talking about a surprise for Wang Lei,it's his birthday really soon. Zhang Wei said with an uneasy tone.

" really, so what's the surprise? "she asked innocently.

" we planned a surprise birthday for him because he does not usually celebrate his birthday,he only goes to the club"Zhang Wei said, he wondered how he was able to lie to his wife so easily.

"OK,so what should we do?" Li Na asked.

"I have to go now,it's already late,I'll call Zhang Wei late to talk about it" Mei said as she went towards the door.

"No problem, its just a matter of time before you tell her the truth and when that time comes me and our baby will be the ones in your life" she said vainly as she stopped at the doorway and left.

Zhang Wei gazed into the air not noticing Li Na who was standing beside him.

"what's wrong?" Li Na asked softly.

"nothing" he said as he went up to his room. Zhang Wei became more distant, quiet and also lost in thought, Li Na wondered why he behaved this way,he was never this distant,at least not with her.

"why do I have a feeling that there's a problem and Mei's involved?" Li Na thought to herself.

"I'll have to ask him" she said as she walked to bedroom to meet Zhang Wei.

The lights were shinning bright,the room was very quiet and Zhang Wei's reflection fell in the mirror, he looked worried and exhausted.

"Zhang Wei?" Li Na said calmly as she walked towards him.

"Yes" he answered facing her.

"Are you OK?" she asked

"Yes I'm fine" he answered

"why are you lying to me? I know you're not OK " Li Na insisted.

"I said I'm fine,stop asking me!!" he lashed out, Li Na stood in shock,she was frightened.

"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry" Zhang Wei apologized and hugged her deeply pleading.

"its OK, I shouldn't have insisted so much,sorry" She said calmly but still a little frightened.

"it's already late let's sleep" Li Na said as she went towards the bed,she still couldn't believe that Zhang Wei would react like that. It was all too surprising and frightening.
