Mission Impossible (2)

In the audience hall, two big thrones stood opposite each other. Below them were two columns of seats and tables in straight lines. On the two thrones and too of the seats and tables was a symbol of a scorpion in between a sword and spear crossing each other. About sixty men armed with weapons such as swords,sabers and Spears entered and took the left side column and sat down discussing about the incident that had just happened. A few moments later, about the same number of armed men entered the hall. Upon seeing each other, the two groups pulled out their arms and took in a fighting formation. The tension continued until the arrival of two leaders was announced making the two sides take their seats while standing. Two men entered, one was a bald headed man in black with a broad saber in his hand while the other was a young man in red robes and his hand was a red fan. The bald headed man had a scorpion tattoo on his head, his robes were black in color with a scorpion on the chest and a scorpion symbol could be seen on the saber. The young man had make up on his face and a black scorpion could also be seen on his robes and fan . When the bald headed man saw the young man he held a stunned expression which immediately changed to disgust upon seeing the make up.

" Little Lan, what are you doing here? Where is your father?"asked the bald headed man.

" Uncle Lau, what do mean by 'what are doing here? '?"questioned back the young man in a feminine voice as he bit his scarlet lips.

" Where is your father?"

" That old man is enjoying himself with a team of six. Anyways I'll be representing him today.If you are not satisfied,you can go back and complain to him." said the young man as he waved his fan and headed for his seat.

" Impudent! that's your father's seat "

" I don't care,his seat is my seat. Feel free to move out if you are disgusted,the enemy will be waiting for you."

With a cold snort, the man drew out a whistle that he blew.A few minutes later, a young man with a broad saber entered and bowed.

" Little Len will represent me today in this meeting." with a cold snort he then moved out of the hall.

Looking at the two young men, the sub factional leaders were at loss of words on what to do.Looking at the situation,Len moved to his father's seat but did not sit on it instead stood aside.

" Looking at little Len,he is surely well behaved unlike that son of a chicken." one of sub factional leaders of the Beast Brothers faction complimented proudly.

On hearing the comment, members from the Blood Drinkers faction were slightly pissed off.

" A coward defending another coward.A son of a coward will always be a coward.He will never have the guts of his uncle." a member from the other faction retorted.

" Well said. I'm sure he will pee in his pants if he sat on the seat."another added.

" Well said brother."

The comments brought tension among the two factions and then held onto their weapons ready to draw them and start a blood bath. With the comments,Lau looked towards Len but looking at the unchanged expression on his face, his mouth curled into a smile and then turned to the audience.

" Enough all of the you.We are here to discuss about an intruder.Half of our grains have been burnt.What are your suggestions?''

" Let's go capture him and beat him to death."one of them suggested.

" No, let cut off his limbs and feed them to the dogs."

" I'll just skin him alive and roast him piece by piece."

" I'll boil his eyes in cooking oil and the cut off his buttocks and then his third legs."

Different suggestions and comments ran throughout the hall until the leader of the squad that had been guarding the entry point suddenly spoke.

"I think we should be careful, when I checked the gate after the explosion I saw gun powder at the gate. I think he is well prepared and knows our aerial structure."

On hearing the comment, Lau looked towards the leader with interest unlike the rest.

" Continue.What is your suggestion?"Lau asked as he looked towards the leader.

" If I were the intruder, I would plant the gun powder and then make it explode. If the plan failed, I would then take the leaders as hostage and escape with them. "the man continued.

On hearing the comment, everyone's expression changed including Lau and Len and looked at the leader with complicated expressions.Upon seeing the look a which he was being looked at, the leader quickly fell to the ground on his knees and cried bitterly.

" Young leaders, it's not what you think. It all my bad thinking and silly suggestions. Please have mercy on me."

" Go check on the leaders quickly." Ordered Len as he spoke out for the first time.

On hearing the order, one of the leaders quickly left.

" Hey, aren't you the recently promoted leader who was stationed at the fifth check point?" one of them identified.

" Isn't the fifth check point nearest to the food store?"

" Yeah it makes sense."

" Do you think he's the one who let the intruder in?"

Discussions went again among the leaders and they looked at pointed at the man.

" What were you doing when all that happened?" question Lau making all the hall hush.

" Yes young leader, we were about to have a change in shift when we suddenly saw smoke from a distance. I instructed my brothers to protect the gate and not let anyone in or out and quickly reported to the supervisor who gave me a few more men.When we returned,smoke was blocking the sight of everyone.Thankfully I have a wind elemental ability that I used to clear away the smoke.When I asked them for any abnormalities, one of them said that he had heard an explosion."the man explained.
