We were in flat lands. The city was literally in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by fields on all sides.

Yet, a Wyrm was attacking it? It was odd. Rather odd.

After all, Wyrms preferred high ground and there was no such thing in these parts. So what was happening?

"Maybe it came from the mountain," Vivia said.

I could vaguely make out a tiny thing in the distance, far away. Far away as in… hundreds of kilometers far away. I could spot it only because it looked whitish near the top.

No wait, if it can travel over a hundred kilometers an hour, maybe this distance is nothing to it.

"Vivia," I said.

"Yeah?"

"How fast are Wyrms?"

"Very fast," she said. "We can cross the whole continent in a day if you could- you know."

Oh yeah, she caught my drift.

"Um, Sir?" the farmer said. A half dead. Apparently, he was our client. "Are you sure you want to take this job?"

"Of course," I assured him.
