Chapter 12

[Izumi's House]

(Izumi POV)

'I wonder when he will arrive?' I thought while looking at the gate in front of the door of my house.

I wonder when was the last time I expect something in my life or Unlife? it's confusing.

Before I met you, I was just inside my house waiting for nothing, sometimes there are some visitors from animals to humans.

I still remember getting excited for the first human in while coming here, cause maybe they could talk to her, although she knows it was impossible as she was a soul, a dead person and I was right. The people who climb the gates of my house in the night enter here for some fun, a horror exploration, and when I appear, they didn't even notice me and just passed right through me.

They explore the house, every single room, and corner, it was fun just watching them getting scared for no reason, that was until they arrived at the room where I was bounded.

I don't know why, but when they try to enter that room, I lost control of myself and actually managed to attack them. They got so scared of me that they immediately run away.

Many others came for the same reason and has the same result, this leads to my house having a reputation for being haunted. Many priests and exorcists come here to exorcise me, but it didn't have any effect as they are all fakes and scammers.

I spent alone here for a long time that was until one naughty kid enter my house, I still remember seeing Errol for the first time and it still brought a smile to my face.

The first time I saw Errol was when he made a mess that was loud enough for me to hear and saw him staring at a spider on his chest not breathing, and in total silence.

That was until the spider moved.

"yaahhHHHH!!!"

I was amused by his shout as he immediately swatted away the spider before running in a random direction, I followed him until he was in the backyard of my house.

I walked slowly at him and for some reason, he looks around being vigilant, I don't know what happens but I still walked until I was at his back.

However he made an action that surprise her, he slowly looks behind like he was staring at something, NO! he was looking at me and his shout just confirms it.

"YAAAHHHHH!!!!!"

The kid immediately backed down and look scared at me.

"Don't get closer! Just so you know I have powers that can blast you out of this earth!!"

He shouted like a kid making a lie to act tough, although what he said didn't scare me a bit. The kid look's like he was prepared to fight for his life, and that's when the time I couldn't hold it anymore and laughed.

"Hahahahaha"

Thinking about that memory, I can't help but smile and laugh a little. I don't know when was the last time I laughed like that.

His appearance in my life could be said the thing that I am scared to lose after he said goodbye. But it looks like I didn't actually need to worry, cause the next day he was here again, the next day he was here again and another, he keeps coming here to accompany me.

Every time he comes, he brought joy to my world that I only saw as a dark room in a haunted-looking house. This joy continue for 1 month until he asks me about my regrets.

I hesitated to bring him to the room where, my chain was connected as I always attack the people who tried to access it. But I am relieved when I didn't do it, maybe because we are quite close.

Then I shared my story and my regret that I couldn't share it with anyone including my last family which is my father. I didn't even notice that I was crying it was only after I let go of him did I noticed.

During my cries, Errol didn't say anything and just let me hug him while holding my hand.

After that episode, I couldn't help but feel more comfortable around him, I discovered that I already treat him like a family, a little brother.

Errol could be said very mature in many areas compared to his peers maybe of my level. But he is quite underdeveloped when it comes to social and emotional departments.

I didn't find it wrong as he was a kid, then suddenly one day he just told me he has powers. I found it funny at first before he showed me that he really has some.

I excitedly made him do a lot of things and play the games I always fantasize about in my mind when I was a kid.

Then he gave me another surprise by making me able to touch and consume things. It already made her overjoyed to be able to eat again but he surprised her again.

Making the piano small and light might make us able to walk out of my house, we are immediately excited and run to the gates only to see a big close gate.

I was lamenting about that and was just about to say something when I suddenly felt carried by Errol in an embarrassing position and felt a sudden rush of wind to my skin that I closed my eyes.

And when I open it, I immediately smack him in the head for not giving her time, before I noticed I was outside and immediately carried hug him around laughing so happily that he joins.

Then we spent the entire day fooling around, eating lots of food, and even ate an extremely spicy one which we regret later.

There was this moment when Errol said something that actually made my heart flutter like a lot of butterflies were flying inside me.

Errol move his face to the side not showing her his face which was deep red. "It's just...I don't know...it all felt suitable for you...that I ended up buying all...I think I just wanted to see you in those things again..."

It was not even romantic or very sweet words, but for some reason, I couldn't help but feel shy.

The rest of that time we spent playing in the arcade, while my mind is occupied on thinking if I am a shotacon.

We then go watch a movie, first is horror where I laughed a lot from his reactions, and then another one which is both romance and comedy that made us laugh and cried a few times.

That movie brought me something to ponder, and I am confused that I couldn't help but ask Errol.

"Hey Erl-chan, do you think I could ever find love?"

Errol who was walking beside me, couldn't help but look at me surprised, but he still answered her. She didn't have much expectation of his answer, but his words surprised her

"Well I don't know, but you existing here and the term passing already proves that there is an afterlife, maybe there you could find love," Errol said, and I noticed the bitter voice when he said those last words which I found myself being happy.

"I see," I said before deciding something.

'I'll wait for him'

Back to the present, she was still thinking of those memories, and couldn't find herself smiling unconsciously.

'I wish we could be like this forever'

However, it looks like her wish would not come true. When she heard a rough monster-like voice.

"I found you, little soul"

She looks at the top of the gate, only to see a 4-meter-high monster with a mask and a hole in its chest.
