Next day , Afternoon

Liza's POV

I drove into Mom's Mansion and parked my car in the parking lot. I got out of the car . When I made sure it was safely locked , I headed to the main door.

"Good morning Miss Liza" one of the maids greeted me immediately ,as I walked into the mansion.

I glanced at the empty living room before turning back to the maid.

"Where's Mom?" I asked shortly.

"So you can come back , you pitiful liar" I heard a voice scoff and I looked up to see Samantha standing on the staircase . She glared hardly at me when our eyes met.

"What?You're still staring?" She muttered descending the stairs.

She walked towards me and stopped some feet away .

"My mother doesn't need liars and pretenders like you, " she added .

" I just don't get it, how could you pretend to the people you could family for so many years" she added angrily.

" Look Sam, I'm not here for you , so keep your mouth shut , if anyone's supposed to complain, it shouldn't be you" I snapped .

I turned to the maid again.

" Where's she? "

" She's in her room, " the maid muttered.

I turned to Sam with a smirk

"Later" I muttered before walking away.

...

" Fine, but don't keep anything from me again,okay?" Mom sighed.

I sighed inwardly. If she only knew who I really was .

She's making a fuss about me not telling her that I'm the anonymous CEO of LDN Corp. What if she finds out that Liza De Novo is fake ?

Well, they are going to find out anyway,once I've gotten my Revenge.

"Promise?" She called

"Hmhm" i nodded

"Well that aside, what about dad?" I asked , getting on my feet.

"He's in the Philippines for some business meeting, probably going to take a month there" she replied

" I see you're going somewhere" I asked .

She was dressed in a black trouser and white shirt , she had a little makeup on and was arranging her handbag.

"Yes, I have a meeting with Miranda," she replied .

Miranda Ramos?

That reminds me , I have a family to take on. I only nodded .

When she was done , we walked out of her room together.

"So, we will see later?"

"Yes " I forced a smile and gave her a quick hug.

" Sam!!!" She yelled

Samantha walked out of the kitchen and when she sighted me , she scoffed. I just ignored her.I don't have the time to start bickering with her.

"Let's go"

Samantha nodded and the three of us walked outside.

When we got to mom's car , her driver was already in , she bade me goodbye and got in .

Just as I turned around to leave , a hand held me tightly. I turned to see Samantha with a scowl on her face.

"I know you're still up to something and I'm going to find out" she seethed .

" Good-luck on that , sister" I smirked and yanked my hands off before walking to my car.

I got into my car and drove out of the compound. My phone beeped, I glanced shortly at the caller ID before connecting it to the car's Bluetooth.

"Ma'am" Kira's voice came on

"Yes?"

"Your meeting with the manager at the resort is starting soon"

" How many minutes do I have left?"

" Thirty minutes" she replied

" Move the appointment to tomorrow" I replied , my eyes focused on the road.

" Ma'am?"

"You really want me to repeat myself?" I snapped.

"I'm sorry ma'am" she muttered

I sighed and ended the call . I turned my attention back to the road , my eyes darted to the rear mirror, I noticed a particular car had been following me .

I took a turn and the car did the same ,I took another turn and still the same. Confirmed, someone's tailing me!

Who could that be?!.

I quickly hit the accelerator and soon I lost the person.

"Good-luck next time" I muttered.

My phone rang out loudly through the Bluetooth and I immediately picked it up.

"Where are you headed to now?" Harper asked .

"Ander Gorostiza's office"

" Be careful okay?, Don't forget to record your conversation"

" I know all this, Harper" I rolled my eyes and made the last turn to his company.

" Well, good-luck"

"I'll speak to you later" I said and ended the call.

I brought my car to a halt at the parking lot , placed my phone in my handbag before getting out of the car. I securely locked my car and headed in.

"Good afternoon ma'am" the guards at the door greeted. I walked in ignoring their greetings

I stopped at the receptionist table

"Is Mr Gorostiza in?" I asked the lady who just kept staring at me like I had something on my face.

Gosh! This is just exactly what I hate.

"Well I never knew staring is the new Yes" I added

" Oh,I'm sorry ma'am,it's just that you look really familiar," the lady replied.

" Yes because I'm Liza De Novo?" I rolled my eyes.

" Oh my gosh, I'm really sorry ma'am" she gasped

I sighed.

" Is he in? "

" Yes ma'am, fifth floor"

I headed towards the elevator

I pushed a button and the door opened, I got in and pushed another button.

"Ms De Novo, such a surprise to see you here" Gorostiza grinned immediately I walked into his office.

I kept an expressionless face taking my seat. I secretly took out my phone from my bag and put on the voice recorder .

"This is actually the first time I'll be seeing you in person" he added

"Hmm" I muttered

" What brings you here without any notice?"

I crossed my legs and rested my chin on my hand which was on the arm of the chair.

"Tell me, what's your connection with Tiago?"

He was taken aback by my sudden question . He looked at me in surprise. He surely wasn't expecting me to ask that kind of question.

"What do you mean *what's my connection with Tiago *?" He asked

I chuckled darkly.

" Oh Ander, are we really going to play dumb here?"
