"...Who was it then?" Valentine prompted once more when she looked as if she was having second thoughts about telling him.
"On second thought..." she hated the hesitation in her voice, she squared her shoulders and nodded to herself, "On second thought, that's not important,"
She said that. But it looked as if the information she decided to keep to herself was vital to Valentine.
"Let me explain why, it's funny that I have to do it out loud now when I ran all the way here in order not to really think about it…"
His face softened as he waited for Summer to pull herself together, she looked fine on the outside, but he had watched her long enough to know better than that.
