As they saw the disappearing back of Nami running towards the ship both Luffy and Zoro had a grin on their faces as Luffy said while rubbing his nose "She acts like that money is the most important thing for her but she's a good person, you'll realize after you get to know her."
"I understand, You guys can rest here in my house today if you don't mind as the space is a bit cramped," Usopp said looking at his small house.
"Can we? Thanks" Luffy said.
After a while, Nami returned with a bag full of her treasures and placed it inside Usopp's house after hearing about their arrangement for the night. She welcomed the decision but decided to rent a room in the village for herself as the place would be too cramped for her.
It was already evening by now so the four of them went to the village restaurant for dinner and made plans to meet at a designated place early in the morning. Nami booked a room for herself in the Village motel as Usopp, Luffy and Zoro went back carrying a container that was filled with oil which Usopp just bought.
The night passed uneventfully except Usopp had to deal with the loud snores of Luffy and Zoro who were sleeping in his house. The next day Usopp woke up early and immediately started his preparation for what was to come.
Last night at the last moment he had suddenly thought of buying the oil containers to spread on the slope of the village entrance because from how dumb those pirates were, he would be able to gain an even better advantage over them.
By the time Usopp had finished doing his preparation Zoro and Luffy had already woken up and after a stretch were all-ready for action. The three of them carried the oil containers and carried them towards the island entrance slope.
This time Usopp was sure that the pirates would be coming from this entrance unlike in the original so he didn't need to worry about oiling the wrong side. They arrived early at the scene and on the way met with Nami who was waiting for them.
The four of them then started pouring the oil down the slope to make it difficult for the pirates to rush to the top so that they could use this time to deal with all of them. With this in mind, they completed the arrangement before waiting for the pirates to arrive.
They didn't have to wait for a long time as just after a few minutes the shadow of a ship became visible in the foggy morning horizon. Seeing the pace with which the ship was approaching the shore Usopp couldn't help but yawn.
The adrenaline rush one should feel when seeing the sight of their enemies that was rising in his chest slowly vanished thanks to the slow pace of the ship. "That ship looks good, should we take it?" Luffy commented.
"Do you know how many people it would take to make such a big ship sail?" Nami questioned.
"Hmmm I don't know," Luffy said.
"Sigh, It's going to need at least 12-15 people Luffy," Nami said in a defeated tone from Luffy's dumbness.
"That's a pity," Luffy said.
As the ship was coming closer Luffy started stretching his body which made his arms stretch elastically. Seeing this an idea suddenly entered Usopp's mind as he looked at his surroundings quickly and after finding out the suitable spot that he was looking for he went towards Luffy to tell him about his plan.
"Hey Luffy, Wanna do something fun?" Usopp asked.
"Fun? What is it?" Luffy asked clearly confused as to why he was mentioning such a thing at this moment.
Usopp went closer to Luffy's ears as he whispered his idea into his, an excited smile slowly emerged on Luffy's face as he said "Let's do it!"
A few minutes later Luffy had twined his arms and legs properly on the two thick trees on both sides with his body in the middle. Usopp placed a big boulder in front of Luffy's stomach as he slowly moved back while grabbing the stone thereby stretching Luffy's body backwards.
After moving left and right Usopp had positioned Luffy's body to be used as a perfect slingshot and was adjusting his aim while Luffy was gritting his teeth as he had never done something like this before so it was difficult for him to keep the tension.
Fortunately for him, the ship was finally close enough for Usopp to aim and release the bolder, which he did the moment the ship was at the right spot. The moment the stone was released it darted towards the pirate ship with enormous velocity cutting over the winds that tried to reduce its velocity even by a little.
"When we arrive at the shore you all should do exactly as the plan mentions! First, we loot the house then make her write the will and then kill her. All this must be done for our mission to be successful…" Jango was hyping himself and the other crew members up to enact the plan that had been entrusted to them by his captain when he suddenly heard the sound of air being torn apart.
Turning towards the source Jango's eyes widened as his jaws dropped which was followed by his glasses slowly falling down. Seeing his reaction, the rest of the crewmates also moved their eyes in the direction where he was looking and soon enough they were also sharing the same reaction as his.
The moment Jango's glasses fell on the ground was also the time the boulder crashed onto the ship's upper deck directly onto the majority of men that were on deck. Regardless to say, this attack almost obliterated the whole of the pirate crew and those who survived the attack were all wounded and weak as they slowly drifted off towards the coast.
Seeing the results of his attack Usopp was quite impressed. He didn't feel guilty even a little bit inside him because he was well aware of the bad reputation that the Kuro pirates had and as the saying goes, birds of the same feather flock together. If Kuro was such an asshole then there was no doubt that his crewmates were also one.
The crew members' bodies that were slowly being drifted onto the shore were either lifeless or wounded. It could be said that the battle was won without even him doing any work. Among the lifeless bodies, Usopp noticed the body of Jango who was the hypnotist of the crew. He had a grievous wound on his head as his lifeless body lay on the ground. One side of his skull got completely crushed by the impact and dented in, mangling his brain, the sight of which was enough to make one puke.
