In the midst of a failed drug deal, Raven and his friend stumble upon a kidnapped girl, who turns out to be the second princess to the throne. This chance meeting thrusts the criminal Raven into the dangerous world. How will this meeting impact the life of a criminal like Raven?
Seeing Amber run away, I yell at her. "Amber! Where are you going?!" Being ignored, I see Edward run after her. Turning to Alice, she shrugs her shoulders and runs after them. Shaking my head, I join in.
Running after Amber we see her, bash in the emergency door and run down the staircase.
Yelling to Edward and Alice, I see Edward running down the staircase. Grabbing Alice by the hand before she also runs to the stairs, I point to the elevator. "That's... actually a good idea."
Getting in, we ride it to the bottom floor. Standing at the sides of the fire staircase. We waited for a good while before they finally got kicked in. Spotting a blonde running out, Alice swung her hand in the air.
Causing a pale arm to grab Amber's ankle. Hitting her head on the ground, she tries to get up again and run away. "Amber! What's going on?!" I ask, telling me to leave her be, Edward arrives.
"Sorry Raven, but move please." Taking a step back, he grabs Amber. "I'm going to talk to her, I think I know what this is about." LIfitng her up, he asks me if I got some change for tickets.
"Oh right," Patting my pockets, I pull out my wallet and hand him a bill. "Will 100 be enough?" Grabbing it he tells me that a ticket costs 30 Aquars, so it's more than enough.
Carrying her away, I scratch my head. Apologizing for any inconvenience, I pay the fine for using the fire escape and leave the building. Now outside Alice and I start to walk.
"Now what?" I ask.
"I want to check something," Heading home, we walk up the stairs. Alice walks to our apartment door, but instead, I walk to our neighbors.
"What are you doing?" Telling Alice not to worry, I explain that I was just checking something. Closing the vacant apartment, I wonder why did I think of giving those kids home.
Smiling, Alice says. "When we're at remembering things, how about we check that?" Having one of her arms hand her a shovel, Alice just looks at me for approval.
"Fine."
......................
Edward rides the bus with crying Amber, so he asks if she's feeling any better. Shaking her head, she tells him. "I thought... I don't even know what I thought.... I wanted something more, but it turned out that I wasn't the one."
Scratching his neck, Edward asks her what she's talking about.
"I'm talking about Raven! Do you not remember?! Oh..... Right, that was an illusion, ne-" Stopping Amber, Edward asks her if what she's talking about is how she talked to him about her love for Raven.
"Wait, you're telling me that was real? I thought it was an illusion..."
Rubbing his chin, Edward tells her that it could have been a mass hallucination so we shared it. Which would also explain why everyone was so weird. Asking him what he meant, Edward smiled.
"Well, Raven was really nice, and not the topical sarcastic, passively aggressive self. He was nice, he was his true self." Stopping at a station, Edward tells Amber that they have arrived.
Getting off the bus, Amber doesn't see anything special about this place. Walking after him, they start to lose the city and instead arrive at a large open field.
She turned back, just to make sure they didn't travel through a portal or something, but no. They're still outside the city. Vast plains, full of greenery with snowy mountains in the distance that look like tiny rocks.
"Wow, there's such a place in Aquaria? I thought Enelon was the only place with such beautiful nature." Laying down, Edward smiles. "Beauty's everywhere, we're just looking in the wrong direction."
Asking him how he knows of such a place, Edward tells her Raven brought him here before.
Sitting in silence, Amber tells him that he's a nice person. "Thanks, I'm trying to be better than my brother." Telling him that he's doing a great job at that. They suddenly hear a familiar voice.
"What are you doing here? You two love birds?" It's Raven and Alice. "Raven! What are you doing here?" Smiling, he tells them that it's his and Alice's special spot.
"Alice? I thought you spent most of your time alone here?" Telling Edward he's right, I stab the shovel between two roots. Starting to dig, I hit something metallic. "Well, I remember burying it deeper."
Starting to pull the dirt away with my hands, everyone watches. Pulling out a small metal box, I pull the lit off, and show everyone the insides.
"What's this?" Amber asks. "It's a time capsule that Alice and I made. We've made 6 months after meeting." Pulling out a picture of me and Alice, I remark. "We took this one when we busted a drug deal."
Grabbing all sorts of pictures Edward and Amber ask about their origins.
"I've never known you had someone like this before me." Edward said, telling him to not worry too much. I assured him that he's my best friend. Having a leaf fall into the metal box, Amber asked.
"Why did you bury it? Why would you want to hide something like this in such a beautiful place? Was there something happening?"
Looking at Alcie, I leaned back. "Yeah, there was.... Something... We've gotten involved with the cult before, but back then we weren't this lucky. We had an idea how to put an end to our problem with them but it was risky."
Nodding her head, Alice grabs a picture of us burying this box. "We knew that we might not live through it, but we didn't care. More like there was not much of an option. We succeeded, but I ended up getting captured. And Raven barely escaped."
Flipping the picture to its back, she hands it to me.
"I see, I thought Alice was just a word lady you used to know. I never knew there was this much between you two."
Smiling at Amber, I notice that there's something written on the back.
[To Raven, Hey, guess we dug the box out. I'm writing this just out of worry. I fear that I might not be alive anymore, so if you dig this up in the future by yourself I just wanted to ask.]
"Would you be interested in being my boyfriend?" I hear Alice say.
Stopping the conversation for everyone, they look at me. Chuckling at the question, I rest my head on Alice's shoulder. Lowering my head into my scarf, I close my eyes.
"What a dumb question..... Aren't we already a pair?"
Hugging me, I get a kiss on the cheek from Alice. Hearing congratulations from Edward and Amber, I smile. "I don't know what the future holds for me, but I know that with you all, I have nothing to worry about."
Yup, this is it... The End, or at least a pause for me. It's the first ever official book, I've ever written this actively.
It was a beautiful experience.
Raven, Edward, Amber, and Alice. I'm putting a stop to their adventure for now. I'll continue this story in the future but now... I'm letting it rest.
I'd like to thank the 25 people that have been on this small journey with me. It wasn't much, but it made my month.
I hope you share the same feeling with me, or at least a tiny bit similar.
And for those wondering why the name is magic? It's because life is the magic that gave me the chance to experience this feeling.
Anyways, Thank you for reading, Beauty of Magic.
