Interstellar Conference (Part 1)

Weight bearing training was the method Riley thought of to improve the speed of Fire Dog.

The improvement in speed relied on explosive power and frequency.

If, under the circumstances of weight, the speed could be trained to the same level as usual, then when the weight was removed, Fire Dog's speed would undoubtedly see a significant increase.

However, reasonable weight was the key to exercise; excessive weight would burden Fire Dog's body.

Riley remembered from a fitness magazine in a previous life that initially, the ideal weight range should be around 8% to 20% of one's body weight.

Fire Dog weighed 19kg, but the weight Riley had chosen for it was around 25kg.

Riley put down the weight bearing nacklace and was about to check out the weight bearing rings when a store clerk approached.

"Is there anything you'd like to buy? I can make some recommendations for you," the clerk offered.

Riley didn't decline, saying, "I want to buy weight bearing equipment for my Fire Dog."

The clerk smiled and said, "In that case, you'll need a Gravity Necklace. The OM-8 model recently released by Devan Group can be adjusted based on your Spirit Beast's weight-bearing capacity. It's suitable for both beginner and advanced Spirit Beasts. Your Fire Dog could use it for at least 6 years."

Riley became interested and asked, "How much is it?"

The clerk sensed a potential sale and replied, "350,000 League Coins. If you become a member of our store, you can get a 5% discount."

That's enough to buy three Fire Dogs...

Riley glanced at Fire Dog silently.

Fire Dog gazed back innocently.

"Never mind, I'll just buy a weight bearing ring," Riley declined.

The clerk maintained her enthusiastic demeanor and picked up a black weight bearing ring from the shelf, saying, "If your Fire Dog is just starting to use a weight bearing ring, I recommend this 10kg black one. It looks great on Fire Dog."

"Isn't it too heavy?" Riley asked.

"How could it be? Fire Dog can handle at least half its body weight in gravity for activity. Even for Fighting-type Spirit Beasts, they can handle gravity several times their own weight," the clerk answered.

Riley understood the situation. It was the Beast Tamer era, and he shouldn't rely on scientific knowledge from his previous life to explain things anymore.

Under the clerk's persuasion, Riley eventually purchased three weight bearing rings of 10kg, 15kg, and 20kg, spending a total of 3,500 League Coins.

Riley brought Fire Dog to a leisure chair in the center of the mall and took out the 10kg weight bearing ring, putting it on Fire Dog's right front paw.

The size of this weight bearing ring ranged from 3cm to 15cm, with an adjustable buckle on the side. The applied force would distribute and spread throughout the body, so there was no need to worry about the weight concentrating solely on the right front paw.

"Does it feel okay?" Riley asked.

The Interstellar Conference was a competition that only the top Beast Tamers selected from four different planets could participate in, it is held every three years.

Just on the Aqua Star alone, there were over 7 billion people, and with the populations of the other three planets combined, there were over 38 billion in total.

Selecting the very best Beast Tamers from this vast pool of 38 billion people to participate in the Interstellar Conference was no small feat.

First, one needed to win the Regional League Championships at least twice within a year, and then gain the support of their Regional League to participate in the Continental League Championship.

The top six national participants from the Continental League Championship would further compete in the World League Championship selection.

In the end, only the players who achieved the top six positions in the World League Championship could participate in the final Interstellar Conference.

The screen was showing the Interstellar Conference.

A refined-looking man on the screen was dressed in a white windbreaker, standing beside a massive Bufotrick that was only about 6 meters tall.

Bufotrick, also known as Giant Eater Toad Spirit Beast. It had a deep and solemn appearance, its entire body deep and light purple, with a thick and heavy complexion. It stared ahead with a dignified expression, wearing custom-made black sunglasses that gave off both a cool and mysterious vibe.

The audience stands, which could accommodate 300,000 people, erupted with deafening cheers, all chanting the names of Caleb and his Bufotrick.
