Chapter 7: Don’t Worry, I Got You
*Serene POV*
I ran over to Ann, still shouting for her not to drink. She had the glass tilted towards her mouth but did not swallow anything. Her eyes drifted towards me and she seemed confused. Dan sat next to her, hungrily watching her mouth, but when he saw me, his face turned bright red.
“Excuse me?” Ann asked as I stumbled up to her. She slammed glass on the bar counter, droplets of alcohol spraying into the air. She seemed irritated that first, she was harassed by Dan, and now by me. However, I knew I was doing the right thing.
“He drugged your drink,” I explained, pointing to the dirty man.
His face went from red to white as Ann’s gaze shifted to him. Her face was so filled with rage that even I was scared. She poured the drink over his head, the ice cubes probably leaving bruises.
