Chapter 4: Descent

Step by step he began to climb out of the cave in which he was trapped, while stretching his arm so that the light would not blind him from the sudden exposure to the light.

Once he was out and his eyes were accustomed to the light he began to look around him.

He was in a... forest. All he could see around him was nothing but damn trees and bushes.

As he looked back, he realized where he was locked up.

'Damn... did they really lock me in a cave with no way out?'

Well, it seems so, now all that's left is to run until he finds some road or river, if he finds a river there must be some town or settlement nearby.

And he must also leave before any vampire who heard the noise arrives.

Starting to run making as little noise as possible, aimlessly through the forest, he saw some animals running around, although he would like to hunt them and eat them, he knows it is not necessary and his priority is to get out of that place quickly.

After a few minutes of running aimlessly, he realized that his seal already had enough energy to be able to occupy the radar.

Slowly he began to release the energy and spread it in all directions, once they go through something, this information will be taken to his brain and once he has the information he will process it to see what is useful.

After a few seconds he began to process the information, and realized something.

'Damn!!!'

He must really have bad luck. As he was processing the information he noticed 7 figures approaching, although 1 figure was faster than the others, they were all faster than a human should be able to.

He quickly began to use the energy from the seal to strengthen his body and prepare for the attack that would come, and to get into battle stance.

After a few seconds that seemed eternal, the attack did not come, but what, there were, were the 7 humanoid figures in front of him.

'3 women and 4 men... vampires? No, their eyes are not red, but no race reaches that speed without being a vampire.'

"He knows what we are."

I reach to hear from the one who arrived faster than the other 6.

'Mind reading!'

I quickly use his solar energy to shut down his mind, as he frowns.

'Damn, a vampire with abilities, couldn't this be worse'.

I could notice the annoyance on the vampire's face quicker.

"I can't read his mind anymore" says the quicker.

"Woah, that's awesome" you reach to hear from the smaller one.

I can sense that they are talking to each other, but my hearing can't hear them properly.

After a few seconds on high alert, I start to feel extremely drowsy.

'What the hell'

It can't be, the seal clearly should keep it active for as long as it may be needed, so what the fuck is going on, did he really just run into a group of vampires with 2 vampires with special abilities?

"No, I can't go to sleep now damn it!"

I shouted, before shooting off towards the 7 figures.

Due to the energy, I had spread throughout my body, my body could keep up with a vampire and even surpass it if I had more energy.

Once I was at a suitable distance, I threw the blow at the vampire who looked like he was in pain.

The vampire dodged the blow by quickly moving away.

But since I was now in the position he was in before, I threw a side kick at one of the female vampires next to him.

To my regret before I could hit the woman, a fist appeared in front of my eyes.

I quickly covered myself with my arms to limit the damage and follow up with the kick to cause some damage.
