Ch. 1.23 Battery

Miles have been in the prison for two months. For the first few days, life inside is hard. The inmates would beat him up. He is the new in the jail, they give him what they called an initiation right. Gradually, when a new inmates enters, the attention shifted from them making his life more bearable.

He been charge for a lifetime in prison. The evidence giving to the court are all authentic making the court to throw away his plea.

"Mr. Pratts you have a visitor." the prison guard shouts, opening his cell and escorting him to the receiving area.

Kaidan is sitting at the other side of the glass partition. Seeing Miles wearing a prison uniform while handcuffed sits down, he smiles.

After the prison guard left them to their own, Kaidan greets him "How are you? Are you enjoying the life in prison?"

"You blackmail me, falsifying a evidence against me. Sure, I did kill someone, but most of the evidence you provide to the court are all fake!" Miles spat out, looking at Kaidan in a murderous eyes.

"Is it? But the court said it is valid." taunting the man who is livid at the other side.

"You know well what really happened, I did not kidnap you, you are the one who killed the hired killer. The video footage is all fake. I don't know what you've do to make it authentic but we know that almost all the footage you provide are not what really happens." Miles angry speech. Almost shouting at Kaidan's face.

" I know. Since we are acquainted with one another, I'll tell you what really happens. This would be my parting gift for you, after this, I will never visit you again. Listen carefully and learn. "

"All of the footage are true, the difference is, everything is edited out. You going up in the penthouse holding a big luggage, that footage is when you leave the threatening note in my door, the luggage you are carrying is edited out. The two cars, the SUV and the sedan following me, the sedan is operated by me using a remote control."

"You... You.."

Feeling the little object in his hand, he again relax and compose himself. If he will be living his whole life in prison, he will make sure that he will drag this one with him.

"Yup, almost all the evidence is falsified. About the footage of true Miles death, my parents death. My adopted parent's death. All the murder that you are charge with, all the footage are fake. Your crime are foul proof, erasing the evidence. Killing the witnesses. Without me, you almost get away with multiple homicide."

'Continue talking. My revenge will be coming. Soon I will welcome you here in prison.' Miles said to himself. Thinking on how he can do his revenge once kaidan got in. His can now smell his victory.

" And I did not pay any people in the trials. The editing is so well done that the people who examined it passed it on as authentic. And with the voice recorder of you admitting your crime, you cemented your fate!. Adios my friend. Enjoy your life in prison." Kaidan said, standing up. Gesturing the guard this his visit is over.

"Hey, Kaidan. Look at this! Karma do quickly come by right?" Miles excited voice said, holding a voice recorder. He bribed the prison guard, giving him this recorder.

"Tsk! Miles.... Miles.... Miles... Still thinking that you are smarter and brighter than me? And to think that I lecture for almost an hour." holding up his hand, dangling a thing at Miles's face, making the man sit down in despair. His face lost its color looking at the thing he is holding up.

" I'm still smarter than you, I'm richer than you, you can bribe the prison guard but I already bribed him. Wanna know a secret? I'm the founder and owner of El Futuro. Hacking your computer. Messaging you, everything is done by me.. Miles... Miles... Miles... Are you regretting it now?" kaidan said, chuckling as he goes by.

Without looking at the man, Kaidan just wave his hand. Smirking while going outside the prison. A car is waiting for him.

"Hey." a masculine voice said, giving him a quick kiss on the lips when he slide in.

"Hey. Where are we going next?" glancing at the man in the driver seat. His lover.

"To the farm. This time with no drama. No Miles. Just us!"

"Yeah, we should get married at the farm." stealing a glance again at the dumbfounded look of James face when he heard his word.

"Are you proposing?"

"Yeah. Totally. Let's get married." their is no fancy dinner, no surprises, no I love you's, No heartfelt speeches. Just the two of them looking at one another, love can be seen in their eyes.

"What are you holding?" James inquired, looking at Kaidan's hand. After the impromptu proposal, they change their destination to the Civil Service Office.

"Oh! This? It's just a battery." kaidan said, looking at the battery in his hand, giving it a long stare before opening the car window and throwing it out. The fool try to use his move against him, that fool should no better.
