Having awakened, I observed my father, his face adorned with the most joyous smile I had ever witnessed. However, my attention was swiftly drawn to a prominent scar that ran down the right side of his face, disappearing beneath his shirt. Concerned for his well-being, I inquired about the origin of the scar and if he was alright.
A wave of thoughts and questions overwhelmed me, but my father simply embraced me tightly, assuring me there was no need to worry. "I'm just glad you're back safe and sound," he said with a hint of relief in his voice.
Confused by his words, I gazed at my father, seeking clarification. "What do you mean by 'back'?" I asked, a tinge of confusion coloring my words.
Nodding, my father placed a comforting hand on my head and spoke gently. "Son, you've been asleep for the past three months. You missed your birthday, and your mother has been terrified during this entire time. We never knew when you would awaken."
