Chapter 2 Flashbacks

Next moment,

Ethan suddenly opened his eyes and sat up with confusion and daze-shrouded his face.

'What happened? Where am I? Was that a dream?' Three chaotic questions resounded in his mind, then he noticed the difference in the surroundings and also the difference in his body.

Looking at his young hands and arms, as well as the white bed sheet with golden design, even the white nightgown on his body has golden patterns.

'Is this gold?' He thought to himself, looking at the golden pattern on the bedsheet and his robe strangely, and then shook his head.

'Impossible who will use gold as a thread in a bedsheet and nightgown,'

He thought and then raised his head in order to check out the surroundings.

"Maybe it's really gold, but where am I?"

Ethan muttered in surprise, not caring about his young voice, looking at the spacious room with white and golden decoration, furniture, a mirror, and even a glass wall with a golden shade.

'It looks like some kind of royal room, but it's very futuristic and modern decoration.'

Ethan thought to himself, then he realized something looking at his arms and hands, then he walked down from the bed and walked toward the mirror.

'I didn't expect something like reincarnation would happen to me.' Ethan thought in surprise, looking at his young appearance in the mirror, 

Sharp facial features, 80% similar to the previous life appearance, yet he looks more young, appeasing to the eye, with dark short hair and pure black eyes.

"Although I found out the reason why am I here, but who am I and where is this place?" Ethan muttered thoughtfully, 

Instantly, a buzz sounded in his mind. Current flashed through his mind as if all his neurons burst at once.

A flickering scene flashed through his mind one by one, with different scenery and encounters with known and unknown people.

The first scene flashed,

"I am sorry, sir, your son has mental subnormality." Instantly a live scene played in his mind, and a doctor informed him with pity while standing in front of a majestic man.

The scene changed,

An old, angry, and soronous voice spread through the hall.

"How dare you? You want to refuse my order because of your mental patient, son." 

The same majestic man was standing firmly in front of an old man with a gray beard, listening to his scolding calmly.

"Please forgive me, father, for not listening to you; he is my son, and I won't discard him, but I will leave this house." 

The man replied and then patted his wife's shoulder and picked up a small boy who walked outside the majestic gate of the villa.

Scene changed again,

"Return immediately; don't you dare to step outside my house again, you bastard; you don't want to discard your son, yet how dare you think of discarding your father? This old man will not let you keep away my grandson and daughter-in-law."

The old man spoke angrily with tears flowing out of his eyes and then sighed, walked toward him, and snatched the small boy from his arm, then walked away, saying,

"You taught this old man a lesson. Let me realize the pain of blood separation after seeing you leave me alone. I will invite world-famous brain surgeons, physicists, and therapists. I will find a way to cure my grandson."

The old man walked toward the vehicle after domineering declaration, leaving the bewildered son and daughter-in-law behind with tears flowing out of their eyes.

The scene changed again.

A lot of world-renowned surgeons, physicists, and therapists tested and tried all kinds of treatment. Yet everyone failed; they declared his mental disease incurable. Still, the family didn't give up on the boy and raised him with the utmost care.

Until one day the old man heard a report of his son and daughter-in-law's deaths, their private jet crashed into the sea.

He was saddened to extremes and gave up on treating his grandson; instead, he decided to bring a bride for his mental disability grandson in order to continue his lineage.

After searching for a while, some careerists were ready to sacrifice their daughters lives in order to attach ties with the old man.

After engagement, the female will visit often before the marriage two years later in order to see her fate, but no one knew she would beat, curse, and scold him secretly. 

Until yesterday she pushed him, and he fell on the ground with his head banging on the ground.

"So that's how he died and I replaced him; I didn't expect our names to be the same, Ethan, but our surname is different; now my surname is Walter." 

Ethan muttered in surprise, rubbing the small bump behind his head. 

Although this body owner was mentally retarded, his memory recorded everything he encountered and experienced in these sixteen years.

[Memory Activation Complete]

"Who?" Ethan spoke scared and jumped back instantly, looking at the surroundings vigilantly.

Suddenly he noticed a bar moving along with his vision in the air; his heart tightened.

[Unlimited Synthesis 1.0]

Instantly the bar converted into a text and two small boxes below,

"What is this Unlimited Synthesis?" He muttered thoughtfully, then his eyes lit up, and he spoke. 

"It's probably the plug-in and cheat in those movies and TV series I saw before; am I also in a movie?" His expression became confused, and then he shook his head.

"I shouldn't think about that; let's see what this cheat can do. There is no explanation, which means I have to guess and find it's usage myself. It looks like a software cheat, and the synthesis means merging and transforming, while the 1.0 is definitely the version beside it. Also, the two boxes may mean two items are allowed to synthesize at once." 

Ethan muttered while observing the cheat, then he shook his head and glanced at the door of this room. 

"Now it's not the time to find it's useage; first I have to give that old man good news; although he is stubborn and dramatic, his love for this body owner can't be denied."

He muttered thoughtfully, and then he walked toward the door, opened the door of the room, and walked outside.
