Chapter 1: Introductions

A teenage fourteen boy was walking towards the hallway thinking about something,

[I wonder who my roommate would be?]

His name is Arthur Ackerman. He had brownish moppy hair and was wearing a t-shirt with long dark pants, was wearing a backpack behind him while dragging his suitcase with him, excited to think about his future in this school.

Once he arrives at the room he was assigned in he turned the door knob and didn't expect what would happen next.

A girl with short black hair was in the middle of changing and was in her underwear at the moment Arthur opened the door.

"Wait ! Hang on Before you call me a perv, I must warn you.."

Right before she was about to yell out a shriek of embarrassment Arthur blocked it for this is the first time he had seen a girl in her underwear and was merely thinking on his feet, He takes in air, clenches his fists, and exhales it out saying,

"It was your fault for leaving the door open."

He shot the embarrassed girl a thumbs up still staring at her long enough to make his nose bleed.

"AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!."

She slapped him, and a hard one at that. Moments later the two are at the principal's office, Arthur was still holding his cheek where the girl slapped him, his cheek was reddish, it was swelling, the sting wouldn't leave just yet and he was standing right next to the girl responsible for that.

In front of them was the principal, she was wearing glasses, white pale skin, curly brownish hair, she looked like she predicted something might happen today, her eyebags were very obvious, she seems tired but decided to come to work, she crossed her arms and said,

"You just got here mr. Ackerman and you're getting into trouble to the most important girl in campus."

He looked directly at the girl next beside him and saw an overconfident little shrimp.

[This girl!? important?]

"What?."

"Nothing."

She puts down the mug she just drank from and asked,

"And? do you have anything to say for yourself mr. Ackerman?."

She wanted the problem to be over with already, Arthur could tell from the look of her eyes, she was about to fall asleep right here and now if they don't finish this up soon.

He faced the girl with an honest look, his eyes were shining from the fact he was prepared to do the unthinkable in front of a girl.

Bowing in front of her saying it with the calm voice of his tone,

"I am very sorry, I didn't mean to say what I said earlier when we first met.. I hope you can forgive me."

The room was silent, she was flustered from the sincere apology Arthur gave her meanwhile He was going insane just thinking when this would finally be over.

[AAAAAAHHHHHH I don't know what else to do if she doesn't forgive mee!!! AAAAAAAHHHH I wanna go back homeee!!!]

"I-I-It's fine, I just hope you don't ever do that again and what you said earlier.."

Arthur's eyes widened and was all tense up once again, just when he thought it was over, he was going crazy once again thinking about what he said earlier, his heart was beating faster, it's like it would abandon his body and leave.

His legs were clearly shaking but since he was bowing she wouldn't notice Arthur's tensed reaction.

That's where he remembered..

"Wait! hang on before you call me a perv I must warn you... It was your fault for leaving the door open."

[SHE MEANT THAT!!!?!?!?!?!?]

He looked up at the girl in front of him with a scared look in his face.. her face was filled with rage.. her aura turned from something adorable to something dangerous..

[What did I do!? I apologized didn't I!!? What's going on here!?!?]

She was like looking at a piece of trash trying to talk to a famous celebrity, her mood was furious, Arthur wanted to get out of this situation.. so he turned to the principal's attention for help..

"Uhhhh.. Princip---!!."

She was gone, her chair was spinning, the School principal abandoned him with a furious person.

He could feel the immense terror, his instincts were telling him to get out of the room, but because of his fear he couldn't move an inch and even if he did.. she might've killed him right there and now if he dared to move.

"You told me it was my fault for leaving the door open!?."

Arthur could see the rage focusing on her fists as they clenched like they haven't been before.

[Crap.. Father.. Mother.. my beloved sister.. please save me]

"Ummm did I now? I think you misheard what I sa--!."

A few hours later..

Arthur was slowly waking up.. his face was staring the ceiling which means he must be on top of a bed right now..

"Huh? where am I?."

He places his arm on his face, lets out a sigh and say,

"Thank god it was just a nightmare."

and right beside him was the face of a scary girl.. her bangs was covering her face but her eyes were shining a bright reddish color, her tone was terrifying.

"unfortunately for you that wasn't a nightmare."

"AAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!."

Arthur stands up too quickly forgetting where he was again and bumped his head hard on the ceiling getting unconscious.

The pain lingering for a few seconds and disappearing right as he was about to shut his eyes once again.. he last saw the scary girl with bright red eyes before passing out cold.

A day has passed and Arthur was excused not to go to class for today.. He was still feeling the after effects from hitting his head too hard last night.. he doesn't remember much what happened but he does remember the pain from impact of his head to the ceiling.

He was holding an ice wrapped in a towel on the spot where the pain was and was heading towards the principal's office to know where his room was since the room he entered yesterday wasn't the room obviously.

[If it wasn't mine.. there where's my actual room?] He thought to himself.

He got frustrated and said,

"ARRGHHH I'll figure it out once I ask the principal.."

He enter the room with high hopes and a warm smile to ask the principal where his room could be.

"Oh? surprisingly your room is the same as the girl you met yesterday."

[Eh? ...]

"What does that... mean?"

"It means you and ms. Ritsu are roommates, how lucky for you!."

"I don't even know her name.. and besides I already made a bad impression of myself, too late to take everything back now."

The principal gave Arthur a folder containing about the girl he was to share the room with.

"Dorothy... Dorothy Ritsu?."

[It's a cute name.. I don't know why]

"She's a Mage class?."

"Yeahh.. she's going to be your roommate for the whole school year so you two get along now."

The principal sends him off with a smile as Arthur leaves the room his principal said,

"And how you're going to do it well I wish you good luck."

He leaves the room while the principal automatically goes to sleep without hesitation he was heading back into their room hoping to practice on how he's going to tell her that they're sharing rooms.

[What am I gonna d-do..]

A stomach growl could then be heard as he never had breakfast yet, as he woke up he immediately rushed towards the principal's office to learn of his room but never thought of breakfast before leaving, he lets out a sigh and says,

"Well.. might as well get something to eat."

He arrived at the canteen moments later, he was the only person there for now since it was still ten in the morning, all the students are still at their respective classes at this time and lunch would start at twelve sharp so he had time to buy food.

Arthur was amazed at how huge the canteen was and how hungry he was.. the canteen was as huge as the gym right next to it.

almost two basketball courts could be estimated here.. to imagine four basketball courts, two for the canteen and the other two for the gym.

Arthur was buying bread to at least satisfy his hunger for a while since the cafeteria lady were still preparing the food to serve for lunch so he'd had to wait until eleven thirty or so to get his lunch.

as soon as he got his bread he decided to walk back towards his dorm room right when he was about to turn left towards the hallway leading towards the dorms he noticed the same girl from yesterday.

[Is that?]

"Heyy! Dorothy!."

[Crap! I just called her out as if we were casual friends.. you don't think she heard that did she?]

Arthur was still questioning his life at the moment when he noticed a hooded person from a top of the gym, what's that person doing there?, he thought the hooded person's actions were a bit suspicious, as if he were trying to pry open the window and enter it.

[What was that about?]

as he was then concerned for Dorothy who he just saw entering the gym, without a second thought he immediately rushed towards it, before he entered the gym he looked around to see if he could call out to anyone around but since the other students were all in class no one was present at this time so he decided to go in by himself.

He saw Dorothy right at the middle of the gym as he entered, he puts both hands together,

"Heyyy!! Dorothy!!."

She noticed and looked behind her, Arthur was shock to see her wearing an eye patch but decided to deal with that later and warned her.

"I just saw someone enter the--!."

He quickly froze from where he stood as he saw blood coming out of her mouth, as if water was spilling out as it were full, it looked like that from Arthur's perspective.

she was already stabbed by that mysterious man from the rooftop earlier and probably the man left the scene as he Arthur entered the gym, Dorothy's body fell on the cold floor of the gym and he directly rushed towards her.

"DOOORROOOOOTHYYY!!!." He yelled as loud as he can.

"No no no this can't be happening.. tell me this god.. is this a joke!?."

Arthur picked her up and held her tight in his arms, he noticed the blood gushing out from her stomach.

He then ripped a long cloth that was part of his shirt and used that to stop the bleeding by covering the wound and stopping the blood from getting out.

[Maybe I could still save her.. I hope that guy is gone by now.. Please God.. let me save this girl]

He then recalled something from the past that had happened to his family when he was still young..

the blood of his father filling the room, Arthur and his sister were being held tightly by their mother in the closet.

As he recalled that memory from his past he became frustrated at himself and princess carried her body, hoping the clinic is able to help them with this.

[I won't let you die! I promise!]

as he was about to enter the exit Dorothy's body simply melted as if they were water, it became liquid as I reached the exit, as the body was gone the eye patch was not it fell directly on the floor.

He then remembered something about Dorothy when he read her folder..

"She's a Mage class?."

and by that thought he was convinced she was still alive, he looked to the left and right he even picked up her eye patch and placed it in his pocket.

[If I'm right she must be here.. and that body was a clone made out of mana.. the only way to use a spell like that is if she was in the area.. if the clone leaves an area that limits her range the clone would disintegrate because of the lack of supply of mana.. I need to be careful about this that guy might still be here.]

Convinced she was still alive all he had to do was to search for her and get her somewhere safe.

He started searching the gym carefully, he went to places where you could hide and at the same time watch over the entire area of the gym.

[The clone's limit is only up to 6 meters.. so somewhere between those is where she's hiding.]

at the same time Arthur came to a decision that she was hiding in the locker room.. where she wouldn't be seen from the inside but she could clearly see the events happening from the outside.

It was a one way window only from the inside can you see everything outside.. but if you're outside the locker room you won't see a thing, since it's mostly a place where the girls change.

There were two locker rooms one for the boys and one for the girls, and it's obvious she wouldn't stay in the boy's room so he decided to enter the girl's locker room..

It was empty.. no one was there.. obviously that's what he'd expected since everyone's in their classroom.

and then he saw her.. the short haired girl who managed to leave a painful sting at the side of his cheek, the girl who is his roommate.

"I'm glad you found me.."

Relief from seeing her alive and well he lets out a sigh and was embarrassed as what he said from earlier came up in his head.

He looks away and scratches his head, while including her herself was embarrassed since she saw everything from the inside.. and heard everything since the dolls senses were connected to hers in which it felt like she was really the one he was holding on to very tightly.

"You really are an idiot." He says with a smile on his face.
