Homecoming

In a brilliant display of brilliant light, the constellation reappeared in front of the orphanage. It was a two-story brick building, with long white communal accenting the walls, and a bright red door, at the top of the door there was a lettering that read, Hope Spring Home. He started at the building in disgust, it looked much nicer on the outside than the room he found his future champion in. He scoffed at the façade that this orphanage and the humans running it put on, it was laughable.

But there was no time to mock the building in front of him, he had more important things to do. Looking down at the decrepit doll in his hands he began to collect some of his power and place it into the doll. He was anchoring the doll to human perception; it would create and implant false memories of the life of this doll giving it an identity that others would recognize. Having made the anchor, the constellation allowed his power to spread across the U.S., it took an empty house off the market and listed it under the new identity, created a social security number for him, created a fake job, made, and filled a bank account, etc. The last step in finalizing the anchor was assigning it a name, he of course would not be using his true name, a true name held immense power and he would prefer to keep it out of human mouths.

Pondering for a suitable fake name wasn't easy, his constellation companion would tease him about his terrible naming sense. He didn't like the idea of being used as a joke by humans so he needed a proper name that wouldn't cause him problems. That's when it came to him, the corner of his lips lifted into a smirk, he had the perfect name. It was the name of another constellation's oldest champion one that had died in combat. His name would be Elric Sinclair.

Once satisfied with the anchor the constellation immediately possessed it, and slowly a human figure came to life. His new form was incredibly handsome, he had a large fit build, sharp facial features that could charm any person, long red hair tied back in a high ponytail, and he was dressed in a very stylish business suit. Elric strode into the building ready to pick up his champion.

It took about twenty minutes for the director to arrive with Phoebe in tow. Elric noted with some amusement that they spent time cleaning her up to hide their abuse. Phoebe was completely washed clean and now Elric could tell how small and cute she was. She had big owlish eyes, long wavy strawberry blonde hair, cute delicate hands, and she was dressed in a soft pastel pink sweater and a white skirt. While he did notice her obvious cuteness, he noticed that Phoebe was quite small and skinny, it would take a little bit to fatten her up a bit.

"Phoebe come here let's go home." Elric calmly said.

Phoebe looked up at Elric not recognizing him as she hid behind the legs of the director. The director gave Elric a wry smile as bent down to Phoebe's level. He began to roughly handle her a bit as she fought back not wanting to follow Elric.

Ding!

[The Constellation, Ethereal Avian of Fiery Skies, tells you that this is his human disguise and that you can trust him.]

As soon as Phoebe received the message, she stopped fighting the director and calmly walked towards Elric hiding behind his legs and gently hugging them. Elric swiftly took Phoebe's hand in his and left the building.

The two traveled in relative silence before arriving at a quaint two-story house. Phoebe looked excited as she dashed to the door eagerly jostling at the doorknob. Elric swaggered calmly to the door, and he created the door key out of thin air and unlocked the door. Phoebe's excitement didn't cease as she explored every room in the fully furnished home. Elric didn't follow Phoebe on her little adventure, instead, he released his possession of the doll and placed it on the counter.

The constellation tried once more in vain to contact the star stream but found that he still couldn't. With a sigh, he walked towards the direction Phoebe last went to have a conversation with the girl. He found her in a small simple room that looked like it was a child's bedroom, the decorations were sparse and the atmosphere slightly dim but that didn't seem to bother Phoebe as she grinned happily at the room. While the girl was distracted by her jubilation Elric decided to check on the girl's status.

Looking at her status Elric was able to produce a basic idea of how difficult her life had been up to this point. The most concerning thing about her stats was how low her HP was, she was skirting the edge of life and death, and she was incredibly weak. It surprised him how a human who was so close to death was strong enough to handle his immense strength and have a 100% compatibility rate with him. He would have to start fattening her up immediately and once she regained her strength, he could start training her.

There was only one thing he could do now to help protect her and give her a small boost in strength. It was an incredibly rare action that had only occurred one time in the past. Elric looked down at the small girl who had gotten over her excitement and at the moment was staring up at him in anticipation.

Ding!

[The Constellation, Ethereal Avian of Fiery Skies, is revealing his true name, Aurelius Oriel, and allowing you to take his name and become his kin.]

[Accept/ Do not accept]

Ding!

[Phoebe has accepted and become the kin with the constellation.]

[Phoebe has gained the moniker Phoebe Oriel.]

Phoebe looked up at Aurelius with bright eyes, small tears forming at the corner, and eagerly hugged the constellation in front of her.

"Dad." She chirped.

Ding!

[The Constellation, Ethereal Avian of Fiery Skies, is shaken by your statement.]

"Dad!" She mumbled rubbing her face into his legs.

"I love you, Dad."

[The Constellation, Ethereal Avian of Fiery Skies, is shaken by your statement and your cuteness]

Ooops I accidently used the name for completely different series that I've been planning. I have fixed it but just know that the proper true name is Aurelius Oriel
