Evening Of Fire

Dylan and Michael took their places and handed us our drinks with a warm smile. I quickly scanned how broadly Carol was smiling at him, it was hard to tell if she was just attracted to him or was really in love. Or maybe I am just projecting how I feel about the man I just met less than an hour ago.

I took a sip of my drink before looking up at the man who brought it to me. He flashed a mesmerizing smile at me making my heartbeat wildly fast.

"So you're new in town huh?" he asked. I gulped the sip that I was taking quickly and answered, "Oh yes! Arrived last night, it's a very beautiful city." He smiled in response.

Michael turns to all of us and asks, "what are your plans later, since it's weekend, I was thinking maybe you could stop by at my place for an after-party!" Carol was already jumping in her chair but my face was already signaling that I would rather not do that. "Oh come on, Megan! Don't be so uptight, loosen up a little, babe?" Carol says winking at Dylan.

I could sense Dylan's eager eyes on me as well but I was not ready to give in. "Speak for yourself, I have a whole lot of unpacking to do. So I will be off, thank you for your offer though Michael!" I smiled politely at him which he returned immediately and eyed Dylan as though they had some inner conversation.

"What is your specialty?" I asked Dylan as Michael and Carol left for the bar to get other rounds for us. To my surprise, he leaned in a little closer and his eyes peered down at every inch of my body making me ache at places that I never knew existed. "I am a pain management specialist. I take away people's pain." He winks, making me take a deep breath.

"So you are an editor? Do you write too?" he asked, I notice his fingers playing with the straw in the empty glass. His face glistened in the dim-lit décor of the rooftop, I felt as though I was dreaming. "I do, I want to be an author someday," I said. He nods and expresses his admiration with a pat on my back making me skip a beat.

I could count all the cells in my body with his single touch as if it was magical, but he stops patting on my shoulder to rest his hands on them and then slowly slides it down my back stopping just above my hips. "You're very beautiful and I love those with brains, you know. But you.." before he could finish his sentence, Carol and Michael returned with our second rounds.

"They have a dance floor just on the next level, you know. We could stop by there next, what say Miss Clarke?" Michael chuckles as I knew Carol must have told him how uptight I am usually and now he was teasing me.

Dylan joined them in laughter and sipped his drink while gently staring at me. Carol was noticing and I knew I will be hearing all that she was noticing later and deep down, I wanted to hear from her that he was interested in me as I am interested in him.

"Of course, Dr. Polinski! I would love that." I retorted, rolled my eyes to let him know that I am up for a challenge unlike what Carol must have told him. "Then let's quickly finish our drinks and make way to the dance floor, baby!" Carol screamed enthusiastically. This time, we took our drinks and cheered with the group.

When I got up on my feet, I could feel a little sway, and when Dylan notices he offers me his hand which makes my knees hurt for feeling unexplainable things, out of place. I think I am drunk already! I walked slowly with Dylan followed by Michael and Carol.

It was a short ride in the elevator, though Dylan kept his hand firmly on my waist. It was never that obvious but whenever he looked down at me it was as if he was undressing me with his gaze and that sent my blood pumping not just to my face but to every other area which was desiring him, which was driving me crazy already.

As we entered the party hall, which was pretty loud even from outside, we noticed that it was not that crowded as we expected and the room was dark with only UV lights projecting all over the dance floor.

Michael and Carol were already jumping and dancing as though they were some teenagers who were on a night out for the first time. But I did notice that both of them liked each other's company and Carol was happy with him, more than how I have usually seen her.

Dylan pulled me closer, his grip was so tight that I could feel his fingers digging into my pelvis strongly. I was dangerously close to his face and I didn't dare to look up at him, not yet. "Let's go!" He said before pulling me towards the dance floor where Michael and Carol were already moving and grooving to some really popular rap songs that were playing.

"Do you know how to dance?" he asked as we reached the dance floor. He removed his hands from my waist so I could stand facing him. "A little," I said and turned around to have my back against him and started moving my hips from one side to another according to the tune, and he gasped which was enough for me to know that he wasn't expecting that at all.

He puts his hands around my belly making me even closer to his body, now I could feel every inch of him and it was more than satisfying to know that he was also as excited as I was to be with him. His warm breath fell over my shoulders, his lips touching my cheeks as I had my face slightly turned to get a glance of him.

Maybe it was the fact that I was a bit drunk or just instinct, I started dancing with my hip just positioned to give him the best grind that he ever had. I knew it was the most erotic moment of the night when I felt him throbbing in his pants and his face couldn't hide how much he wanted to have me at that moment.

We stood on the edge of the dance floor so it was easy for us to move away from there to find a dark corner that had seating as well. He grabs and turns me around in a swift motion and takes my mouth in his with a passion that I have never felt before. We continue to kiss as if we were drinking each other, his hands were tracing down all over my sequence dress.

I felt his strong hands trace my leg before grabbing my right ass cheek with his right hand so firmly that I had to bite his lower lip to let him know he was hurting me.

We pulled away as though breaking out of a trace when the music changed to a rather slow tune to which Michael and Carol were swaying slowly, holding each other in a tight embrace. Dylan took deep breaths to bring back his normal rhythm of the heart and also to make his hardness subside.

I kept my gaze low because I knew if I looked at him again, I wouldn't be sure what I would end up doing to him. "You want another drink?" Dylan asked in my ears which made my heart flutter again. I nod as I knew my voice would sound as though I am moaning.

He takes my hand and starts walking towards a mini bar which was on the other side of the dance floor. He ordered two beers, the darkness was a blessing I thought as I was feeling quite relieved that he won't be noticing how much I was loving his company.

"You sure you don't want to stop by for the after-party?" he asked in my ear again. He handed me the beer, I thought for a moment before answering, "I am sure. Well may I ask, are you seeing someone?". He pulled back and took a large sip of his beer before he could answer.

"Well, that's a difficult question to answer. Let's just say, not at the moment." I was confused with his response, what did he even mean by that. This was the moment when I knew I think I have gone too far in my head and got myself into something strange.
