Ch 22: Shocking Awakening

Chase places himself in front of Allyson being her guard against the number of goblins that they're facing.

"Hey idiot I don't need your protection, I dealt with their kind before, and besides their numbers are high."

"My mistake, but just let me do this as something I need given that I failed…. Never mind, can I just do this or not."

Allyson got this feeling that he had a desire to protect her. It wasn't hard to understand that at this point something in his life happened that wasn't good.

"Very well, I stand back and let you handle this yet if things start to look any way of getting bad then I will step in to end it."

"You got it, Allyson."

Right on time as they finish talking the goblins start charging forward.

Chase does the same meeting with them halfway clashing together.

The pickaxe in his hands goes swinging hitting any of the little goblins that surround Chase.

Allyson watches keeping close attention to what is going on in front of her.

Witnessing him holding his own against the goblins killing every one of them.

That pickaxe was quickly getting covered in their blood, some even got onto Chase.

He believes that what he was doing working quite allowed no chances for these green guys to have.

Yet it wasn't going to last that way for long; there was going to be a change in time.

"Chase! Lookout"

Allyson warns him at the same time it was too late when something hits Chase's body sending it to the side against the cave.

Such an attack like that means that any of those Goblins still alive had no way to do that.

"Damn it, that's a hobgoblin."

There was no doubt that one was going to be inside the cave.

A hobgoblin indeed to be wearing nothing much than a loin cloth around its waist and holding onto a club just like the others.

Even with what happened to him, Chase slowly worked to get off the ground after falling onto it.

Trying to ignore such pain going through his body isn't going to be an easy thing to do at this moment.

"Holy shit that's a hobgoblin."

He was shocked to be looking at one that was completely different from the small ones that were around.

The goblins were happy that the hobgoblin had come to give aid in their fight.

This hobgoblin looks at Chase only to lose interest in him within seconds, moving that attention to Allyson.

Same as the goblin, this thing wanted her and wasted no time taking steps forward.

She saw and started to take a fighting stance with the sword ready.

"Oh hell no you're not going to lay a finger on her."

Chase at that time notices a goblin having a wooden spear as a weapon thinking that there was an opening to stab this human with it.

No way was going to happen as the pickaxe entered Under the thin chin getting lifted into the air before being thrown away.

He goes for the spear afterward, grabbing it and throwing it.

Luckily that wooden spear got into the side of this hobgoblin's left arm.

Feeling that draws back the thing's attention onto him looking at Chase than to the spear pulling it out to throw and letting out a roar.

"Yeah, you piece of shit come and fight me."

"Are you crazy? You can't fight this thing alone."

Chase ignored Allyson and just charged toward the hobgoblin.

It is ready for a swing with the club in hand to hit the human coming.

Of course, the club missed only to hit the ground of the cave while Chase slid from under the hobgoblin's legs ending up behind it.

The pickaxe pierces into the back and brings about a cry from this big green guy.

Chase was about to pull the pickaxe out to use again only to be intercepted when the hobgoblin's elbows smashed into his face.

The nose ended up breaking from the impact and blood came out in a hurry.

"You fucking…." Sentences get cut off when a kick to the chest stops breathing and sends the body to the cave wall.

Chase caught himself this time using both hands on the ground while coughing up blood onto it.

He didn't have time to get back up given that the goblins attack him while down together.

"Chase!." Allyson starts running to help him.

Slashing any goblins in the way until coming upon to face the hobgoblin that stood between her and Chase who was in need.

"I have no time to deal with you right now."

She made the first move doing a fast slash across the thin face taking out one of the eyes.

The hobgoblin let go of the club, having both its hands on the face that was bleeding.

Allyson thought it to be a free going pass but felt the thing grab a hold of her arm.

Uses its strength to throw the whole body up to the cave ceiling and slams her down to the ground hard.

The hobgoblin brings Allyson up to the air looking at her beaten at the moment and loses the hold of the sword.

Chase is still alive taking a Glance to witness that thin tongue lick from the neck up to the face leaving some of its saliva on her.

Soon the upper part of Allyson was ripped off exposing just the breast that these things were enjoying looking at.

Next, the hobgoblin plans to go for the lower part of her clothes to tear apart for then they can begin what is to come.

"Look at the fact that the green monster is going to have some fun with the girl. I got to say doesn't that remind you of someone else?"

Listen to the voice of his other self speaking in his head.

"Well it does not matter in watching the action, you're going to be dead soon anyway, so that's a good thing at least. Kind of a bitch that we are no longer going to exist within each passing second."

"No…. I won't…. Let it happen again… I will stop it."

"How you think you're going to do that Chase there's nothing a normal failure like yourself can do."

"Shut up! I will save her damn it."

Chase starts getting up, even still dealing with the attacks coming from the goblins.

"I am not going to let it happen again!."

Yelling out loud causes the goblins around to stop taking a step back.

Looking at his body that had quick shocks like that of lighting appearing and disappearing.

Chase's eyes became covered in this lighting where completely it dances on his body.

The goblins were now in a state of fear taking more steps backward.

The hobgoblin saw this as well, a little shaken by this site.

Chase takes a step forward which is just a second by the speed increase he hands Allyson in his arms and out of the big green monster's hands.

It was confused for a time until understanding that the girl it handed was taken away by the other human getting angry.

"Chase what happened to you."
