Draig looked at the ball of Mana sitting in Zarra's hand in wonder, this is what he truly wanted to learn as a Guilder. The wondrous abilities that could only be found among those who had been chosen, he was brought from his thoughts by Zarra speaking.
"Alright, you can see that I have have manifested my Mana to appear before in the form of this Sphere. This is a basic attack for any who boast a Class capable of using Mana, the first step is to sense out the energy within you which shouldn't be too difficult considering your impressive Mana stat. So close your eyes and concentrate, I will wait and assist you if there are any problems" explained Zarra canceling his Mana Sphere.
Draig nodded and did as he was instructed, closing his eyes and searching deeply within himself he tried to feel out his own Mana. It wasn't quite as easy as Zarra had made it sound though, it was hard to simply search within oneself to find an abnormality but then like a light he found it.
It was like a small stream as it circulated through out his body like veins and saturating his body in the mystical energy, concentrating a bit harder he focused the energy to his hand before opening his eyes.
"Well done, a bit large but that is only because of your lack of control and will change as you become more practiced at using Mana" chuckled Zarra seeing the look of wonder in Draig's eyes from completing such a simple task.
"Very nice, now let's move through a few other excercises to get you used to using Mana" stated Zarra as he began putting the young Vampire through the motions.
It was a couple of weeks before Zarra had given Draig a passing mark and thus the day had come for Draig to receive his official Guilder License which would allow him to take on missions at the Guild Association Work Station.
"Well brat, gotta say I'm not as impressed as I should be. It took nearly a month to get you up to speed in your Magic but at least that's done now, so here. Take this and go to the workstation, I'll be here waiting for your return" stated Zarra tossing the Young Vampire an ID but it didn't say Guilder on it which struck Draig as odd.
"Read the card kid, I believe it is what you would call self explanatory" chuckled Zarra shooing the Vampire away.
'Good luck brat, come home safely' thought the Mage watching the youth leave.
'Soloer License, guess it's fitting. I wouldn't want to associate with those damn Guilder's anyways' thought Draig as he called a Magic carriage. An odd contraption that wasn't drawn by a horse but rather power by a Crystal fluctuation sphere.
"Work Station please" stated Draig alerting the driver to look at him.
"I don't service your kind, the nerve" spat the Driver before speeding off causing Draig to just stare before he looked down spitefully.
'My kind..... I'm human like you' thought Draig as he began walking to the Work Station but it seemed Fate still wished to see him miserable.
"Halt, Guilders only" stated one of the Newbies who had been inducted in the same lottery as Draig.
"Shut up and let me through" stated Draig stepping forward only to have the youth swing on him but Draig's stats were much higher than his and he caught the fist easily.
"I said move" growled Draig planting a firm fist into the fellow Youth's head causing a sickening crunch before he stepped through despite the cries of outrage from those watching.
Draig walked to the counter and presented his license asking for a mission but the teller took one look at the Identification and confiscated it.
"I am going to have to ask you to leave before I call the guards, faking Guilder Identification is a crime" stated the woman behind the desk causing Draig to slowly begin to fester.
"You will regret this" stated Draig as he turned around and went back to Zarra to detail what had happened, but unfortunately these small things had started to develop an inkling of hate in his being.
It may have seemed ridiculous but it was the small things and obvious bias that had started this seed of repulsion and only time would tell if it ever blossomed into a venomous flower.
