Kiera woke up early in the morning and took a hot bath. Standing in front of the mirror, she tried out all the business suits she had brought from home. Today, she has to perform her best. Wearing favorite clothes also helps people to be a little more upfront and confident than they actually are. Kiera believed in this saying too.
After joining her company, Kiera gradually stopped wearing any casual clothes. She was beautiful; her figure was also perfect. Some colleagues of hers used to say that she was more suited for modeling than being a manager of a model. Being beautiful or not, this wasn't supposed to be connected with someone's profession. Being beautiful was not her choice, but being a manager, that was her choice. Choices should always vary to a person's passion but not to their outer looks.
While other people had so many ambitious dreams in their minds, Kiera was lost in her own small dreams. Actually, dreams aren't small or big. It is just one kind of abstract of human passion. Her dream was unpredictable and uncommon to the others. So, it was easy for them to tag it as a 'small' one. Though Kiera herself didn't measure her dream with these big and small type words. But, yes, it was quite uncommon to be exact. Dream to create a star with her own hand, making them gorgeous by her nourishment and guideline and lastly relieving them in front of the whole world to shine proudly.
Though she was quite devoted to this dream of hers, her parents were not in her support. They didn't get why she was even thinking of making that childish dream of hers true when she had so many opportunities lying ahead of her. It was an act of foolishness to them and all her family relatives, but to her, it was the only thing she thought she could call hers.
Yeah, Kiera was always one kind of model student. She always brought some good marks on exams. Even a dull student could get those great marks if they had this much tuition and family connections. These achievements, these grades, these were not hers actually. These were just her father's achievements under her patent. Nothing more, nothing less.
So, she ran away. There were only 50 bucks inside her pocket and a bus ticket to Hollywood which she managed to get somehow from her classmates in the school. She was only 17 then, facing the whole new world alone. She faced many circumstances, went through many things but never gave up on her dream. Laying low but not low enough which would crumble her self-respect, helped her to move forward.
After 5 or 6 years, she was standing in front of a renowned entertainment company in Hollywood, wearing a business suit, accepting their invitation of being the manager of the famous singer Annie as she graduated from a very acknowledged academy of the USA on her own merit. She was meritorious, but she couldn't shine until then because her achievements were always tagged with her father's name. But this wasn't going to happen anymore as she knew, from there, she was going to start a new life depending on her own. Though she was already depending on her own, from there she knew there was no turning back.
Annie was her second contract. Or should she say Annabelle D'Costa? Her Anna. That time she sang songs in that name. Annabelle was already a shining star by then. She didn't need any guidelines as she was careful, calculative, and sharp. Working with her was fun, but her actual goal to make a star with her own hands was delayed. Anna was already the brightest star out there.
Kiera thought Anna didn't need her until one day when she saw Anna crying. The radiant Annie on the stage as well as the confident Anna on the backstage, those perfect images crashed before her eyes in a split second. That was the very moment when Anna didn't look radiant anymore. She didn't glow. Moreover, she was giving off a miserable vibe as if she was torn, broken, and empty inside. Maybe she was at least strong enough to perform on stage brilliantly despite her sorrows or maybe she was just a great actor. So great that she could make all her audiences fool. And so, no one knew her sadness, her darkness behind her own light, her heart-wrenching cries under her own sparkle.
It pained her. It pained her to the core. Why couldn't she realize those earlier? It was her great failure as Annie's manager, as Anna's friend. The dream she was cultivating inside her became meaningless. Her passion died down. She was numb for some moments.
Then again, she couldn't stop like that. The moment her eyes met the shattered self of Annabelle, she oathed to herself that one day she is going to make this girl glitter with her own confidence. And that was just the start, the real start of her career, the real start of her dream.
Since that day, she stopped wearing other clothes except for business suits outside. Kiera thought Owen understood her the way she was. That was the biggest reason she was so committed to this relationship. But understanding each other is not enough for a forever-long relationship. She blames no one now. It was the flow, the journey of that relation, its length was destined since the moment it happened. She loved it, enjoyed it and that was all. After all her goal, which was to make Anna shine without having any sorrow or darkness was still unachieved. She is gonna achieve that soon, for sure. Even if there is no one by her side, she is not going to admit defeat. Never.
Putting on her classic blue suit paired with the blue pants, Kiera grabbed her satchel.
Hmm… She is not late for the meeting. After all, she is a woman of punctuality. Kiera packed all her belongings as she was planning to take off from the hotel and go directly to the airport after the meeting. She can't be with Anna today but at least she can go see her as soon as possible. It's not like she has any other business here.

Dashing out of the room. Kiera halted in the corridor while passing Ayan's room. Is he still sleeping? Should she call him for once before leaving? She should at least say goodbye, right? But why should she?
Yesterday, after running away abruptly that way, Kiera couldn't get a chance to talk to him again. He didn't do anything actually. What else can he do other than wishing her a safe journey? What she was even expecting him to say?
It isn't like she is going to see him again. But it wasn't totally impossible. Why can't be it possible? Like they can always meet coincidentally. People face so many coincidences every day. Then why can't they also?
Suddenly Kiera realized that before even departing, she was already expecting to meet him. This is no good. All she wants to do is to say a simple goodbye. She will just say that and take off for her work, that's it.
As she knocked on the door, she realized the door wasn't closed. It was left ajar. Why is this guy so careless?
But after entering the suite, she saw no one. Even the room was so clean that it looked like an empty one. Didn't he book this room in front of her? Then why didn't he use it? Or did he already leave the hotel without telling her?
Eh? Why the hell would he inform her out of nowhere? He can go anywhere he wants. Why is she even caring about this? She just wanted to thank him for yesterday, that's it.
Though Kiera pretended she didn't care, she felt somewhat dejected inside. One of her colleagues also booked a room in this hotel. He was supposed to give her a lift to the KIV's office building as he rented a car here for three days. Kiera walked to the parking lot in order to find her colleague.
All of a sudden, a car stopped in front of her. It was a limited-edition black Bugatti. Kiera thought it was her colleague. Though she didn't know that the colleague of hers owned this expensive car. As the glass of the car rolled down, she saw a familiar face with that familiar smile plastered into it.
"Hop in. I will drop you off."
Kiera couldn't say anything as she was so surprised to see him here right now. She didn't expect him to be here. Her mind was going numb thinking this would be the last chance to talk to him. This guy doesn't even care if they are gonna meet again or not. But she at least wants to bid him goodbye properly. If she refuses him today, who knows when she could get a chance again? It is very much possible that she can't find him in her whole life after leaving Korea.
She looked at him for a long one minute and hopped in without having any second thought.
Hey!!
You guys gotta tell me how you feel about their chemistry UwU!
I don't know but if I were Kiera, I would have snatched him for myself without having any second thought xD!
Though I didn't encounter any heartbreaking case before ;=;!
See ya~ in the next chapter!!
