Chapter 10 - Basics of Being a Hero!

After Midoriya threw Bakugo ran up to Midoriya using his quirk and all.

"Deku, you bastard! Tell me how you did that RIGHT NOW!!!" Midoriya, wait is their name Deku? Have I been calling them the wrong name? Okay well uh Midoriya... screamed.

Aizawa grabbed Bakugo with his scarf and Bakugo could've almost fallen backward. Aizawa explained how powerful his scarf was, letting Bakugo go. Bakugo probably wanted to beat Midoriya to a pulp.

I walked up to the plate for it was my turn. Everyone was still caught up in Midoriya's throw. I don't blame them, I just don't want anyone to see how badly I'll throw the ball.

I stomped my foot onto the ground and turned my body slightly. My left hand slightly went behind my back. My right holding the ball lifted, turning my body along with it. I thrusted my body forward, and the flew out of my hand.

My hair spun around me, black strands slipping out. I watched as the ball hit the ground, and Aizawa looked at the device.

"63 meters." I sighed softly, with an awkward smile. Looking over at the group, they were still confused and asking Midoriya questions.

Looking from afar, I started wondering about his name. Why did Bakugo call him Deku? If I remember correctly his name was Izuku Midoriya. I shrugged it off.

Walking back over to the group, Aizawa called next. The person went up and threw the ball again. This pattern repeated a few more times until everyone had finally had their turn.

We moved on to the sit-ups:

237 sit-ups.

Seated toe touch:

13 inches.

The long-distance run:

14.39 seconds.

I was totally tired by the end, but Aizawa said we were announcing the results. I was a little confident in my abilities, at least compared to a few. However, the only problem is my skills don't reach physically.

"All right, time to give you your results. I've ranked you all from best to worst. You should probably have a good idea of your standing already. I'll just pull up the whole list. It's not worth going over each individual's score."

Aizawa then pulled up the scores. It was a blue hologram-type style. It was cut in half 10 on one side and 10 on the other.

1: Momo Yaoyorozu

2: Shoto Todoroki

3: Katsuki Bakugo

4: Tenya Ida

5: Fumikage Tokoyami

6: Mezo Shoji

7: Mashirao Ojiro

8: Eijiro Kirishima

9: Mina Ashido

10: Ochaco Uraraka

11: Koji Koda

12: Koike

13: Tsuyu Asui

14: Yuga Aoyama

15: Hanta Sero

16: Denki Kaminari

17: Kyoka Jiro

18: Toru Hagakure

19: Minoru Mineta

20: Izuku Midoriya

Reading the results a wave of accomplishment washed over me. I never thought I would get 12th place of all things! I reread the name Koike 12th place, over and over. A smile slowly formed on my face after realizing my place. I knew I was better than average but this was crazy!

Looking over at Midoriya he looked completely defeated. "And I was lying, no one's going home." Everyone besides a few people looked dumbfounded, especially Midoriya.

"That was just a rational deception to make sure you gave it your all in the tests." My head slightly tilted from surprise. I let out a soft sigh of relief, honestly, I didn't want Midoriya to go home. He seemed completely beaten.

Aizawa said that we were done for the day, but looking at Bakugo, he was mad Midoriya didn't get kicked out. Midoriya was handed a slip to go to the nurses. I turned away looking back at where the hologram of our scores were.

12th place wasn't terrible. But it was certainly a place to start. I just haven't been given a test that'll measure me as a person!

As we left school, I didn't know how to feel. I was exhausted, and the tests were surprisingly difficult. Well, more like they hit hard after a bit. I began my long walk home. It made me wish I lived closer, or at least got a ride. But passing by stores and buildings. I pulled out my phone walking back home.

There were texts from my father, I figured he got caught up in work, or meetings. I looked up for a moment then back at my phone.

Sighing I put my phone away. Walking back home slower than before. Exhausted from school.

The next day we're back in school. The real stuff began today, such as English. We were learning English and everyone was completely bored out of their minds. Present Mic teachers that class though. He's loud!

Then we have lunch, lunch is simple but lonely. I don't have/want to talk with you. Everyone seems too outgoing. Not to mention that Momo is busy studying all the time. She doesn't seem to try or want to catch a break.

Finally, in the afternoon we have Basic Hero Training. All Might is supposed to teach the class. When he entered the classroom everyone was ecstatic.

All Might then began the lecture, I figured this would be a very long class period... "Welcome to the most important class at UA High. Think of it as "Hero-ing 101!" He had a really loud and outgoing voice. It boomed across the classroom.

Everyone seemed so excited as he spoke and explained what we were doing, "Here, you will learn the basics of being a pro! And what it means to fight in the name of good! Let's get into it!" He began flexing his muscles. I don't know why but it looked cool.

"Today's lesson will pull no punches!" He pulled out a card with the word BATTLE written on it, it was in a bold red color. "But one of the keys of being a hero is... looking good!" He then pointed to points at the wall. The wall was a light blue but the place he was pointed had 4 pillars that were a darker blue.

As the points of the wall began pulling out revealing briefcase-looking things. Each had a different number 1-20. There were 5 on each pillar. "These were designed for you based on your quirk registration forms and the requests you sent in before school started."

Everyone was happy some were cheering and gasping. I was a little nervous because I didn't realize the forms were to create a hero outfit for us...

All Might said, "Get your guys suited up, and then meet me at Training Ground Beta!"

"YES SIR!" We all said. I was incredibly nervous. I didn't think I'd be putting on the costume I designed. It was a joke costume!

Final Notes-

So next chapter is going to be about the fight between Midoriya and Bakugo, for the most part. I'm a little excited!

So I don't know if someone is going to ask this question but each season of the anime will be a new volume. So season 1: Volume 1. Season 2: Volume 2. Do you get it?

Anyway, I'm getting kinda happy with the results I'm getting. I'll try to post another chapter or two before I head out. So I'll try to complete the season within this week or next. I'd like to finish this and move on to something else.

So with that! Good day hope life treats you well, 😗
