“Where are my parents and Gordon? What about the bodyguards?”
Clement gave Kyle a tender peck on the forehead and slung his arm over his boyfriend’s shoulders. Then he tugged Kyle much closer toward him as they relaxed against each other.
“This car is for my private use. Your parents and Gordon are in the car right behind us. The bodyguards are divided into four separate cars. Two of them are in front of us and the others are on either side of us.”
“Oh, okay. Am I allowed to ride with you? I didn’t think to ask you that earlier. I don’t know much about the protocols.”
Clement shrugged. “Strictly speaking, no.”
“I see. Should we stop the car? I can ride in the car with my—”
“You’ll do no such thing. You’re my boyfriend, whom I hope to marry someday. You belong next to me right here in this car.”
Kyle snorted. “Can you stop being presumptuous?”
Clement leaned in closer to Kyle’s ear. “Mark my word, babe. Someday, you’ll be my husband.”
