Study Hard And Be Successful

BRIANNA'S P. O. V

I can't believe this Mr Craine has gotten an admission in one of the best universities in the country for me. I am so excited that I feel like crying. The car arrived at the company and I quickly got out. I run as fast as I could to my office floor. I went to Mr Craine's office.

"Sir Sir..." I shouted happily

Unfortunately Mr Craine wasn't alone he was with his son and some department heads when I entered

"Miss Bennett what sort of insolent behaviour is this? How dare you walk in to your boss's office like that" Mr Andrew Craine said rudely

"S-s-sorry s-s-sir" I said

I looked down and started drawing in my skirt with my fingers nervously.

"Andrew please be calm. She didn't know I was having a meeting" Mr Craine said

"Dad what kind of secretary is she? Even if she doesn't know about the meeting, she is not supposed to enter your office that way" Mr Andrew Craine said

"Miss Bennett please go to your office. I will talk to you later" Mr Craine said calmly

I left the office shamelessly.

"Why is Mr Andrew Craine being so rude to me" I asked myself

I was sitting in my office quietly when I heard my phone ringing. I checked and it was Antonella.

"Hi Ella. How are you" I asked excitedly

"Hey girlfriend. I'm good. How are you" she said and asked

"I'm very fine. Are you back" I asked

"Yes girlfriend" she said

"Wooooow. I can't wait for us to meet" I said

Yeah me too. I've got a lot of things for us to talk about" she said

"Me too. Let's meet tonight" I said

"Alright" she said

I hanged up after a while.

I started working. Thirty minutes later, Mr Craine walked in to my office

"Hello Miss Bennett" he said

I stood up nervously

"S-s-sir I am sorry. I didn't mean to do what I did earlier" I said

"Miss Bennett is alright" he said

I went to him and hugged him.

"Mr Craine scolded me so much. He has been very cold to me lately" I said

"Brianna come with me" he said

He took my hand. He sent me to the room where we ate the cake the last time. He told me to sit down and I did. He poured me a glass of water. I took it and drank it.

"Miss Bennett don't worry about what my son did. He can be difficult sometimes. By the way what did you want to tell me" he asked

"Sir why are you acting like you don't know" I asked while sulking

Mr Craine chuckles looking at my face

"You are laughing" I said

"Dear I am not a mind reader. Tell me" he said

I placed my head on his chest.

"Thank you sir. Mum has told me everything. Thank you for everything. I can now continue my education" I said

"I am not paying for your education for free" he said

I looked up at him

"Sir" I said nervously

We stared at each other for a while. His eyes are so beautiful. It's like time stops whenever I look in his eyes. He pinches my ear making me scream

"Ouch Sir" I said and frowned

He laughs at me and I punch him hard on his arms.

"Sir please tell me what you want" I said

He takes my hands in his and sits on the table in front of me

"Brianna I want you to study very hard and be successful. Make me and your parents proud" he said

Tears started falling from my eyes.

"Hey don't cry" he said and hugged me

"I promise to study hard and be successful" I said

I hugged him and sat on his laps. He Combs my hair with his fingers. We stayed like that for a while. Something crossed my mind

"Sir what about my work as your secretary" I asked

"Don't worry I will get a temporary secretary and you can come back when you are done with your course" he said

"Alright sir" I said excitedly

I placed my head on his chest again. I silently listened to his heartbeat.

In the evening, I met Antonella at club. We hugged and sat at our favorite table. We ordered our drink. For the first time I ordered a soda. I didn't want to get drank. I didn't want to disappoint Mr Craine.

"So tell me how you have been" Ella said

I frowned a bit but pulled myself together. I told Ella everything about Harry and how Mr Craine saved me. I also told her about my admission to the university for a six month secretarial course

"I never knew Harry was such a person. Girlfriend you are so lucky" she said

"Yes I am lucky to have Mr Craine in my life" I said shyly

"Oh my goodness did you just blush while mentioning your boss's name" she said teasingly

"Ella!" I shouted

She laughs

"I think you are beginning to like your boss" she said

"Forget it. he has a woman in his life. I think he loves her a lot" I said sadly

"Anna, he is old enough to be your father" she said

"Don't worry Ella I think he sees me as a daughter. So tell me what's up with you" I said

I quickly changed the topic because I was getting tensed.

The next day Mr Craine brought me all the documents I need for school. He brought me my school's receipt which will be an evidence that I have paid for everything. I looked at the amount on the receipt and I was shocked. It's really expensive

"I promise to make Mr Craine proud" I said to myself

Mr Craine also gave me some money for shopping. I went for the shopping with my mum.

I arrived at Mr Craine's office and knocked. He responded and I entered

"Sir please you sent for me" I said

He opened his drawer and brought out some books and two cards

"Miss Bennett please these books are for your studies and please take these cards. They are for monetary purpose. Use it for whatever you need" he said

I was shocked at this

"Mr Craine, you have done a lot for me I can't accept this and besides I have my savings" I said

"Come on dear just accepted them you may need them" he said

"Sir thank you" I said

I took everything and left

Week later I was standing in front of my room. It was rented by Mr Craine. I opened the door and I have to admit I never knew hostels were like this. I had my own kitchen and the room was fully furnished with expensive couches, curtains and other things. I went to check the washroom and and it was beautiful. I called him immediately and thanked him.

I started classes the next day.
