Tears rolled down Phoenix's cheeks as Draven led her out of the building through a hidden entrance. She didn't stop sobbing as an expensive looking car came to a halt in front of them.
Draven let her in and he sat right next to her. Phoenix burst into fresh tears again, remembering the horrible scene she had just witnessed. She didn't expect Natalie to betray her at all. She did everything in her power to help Natalie improve in her acting skills and launch her career, only for Natalie to pay her back with this?
Phoenix never suspected anything when Ryan didn't complain about her having Natalie over to their mansion and her going out with Natalie. He had complained about everyone else she hung out with. Now she realized it was because they both had a secret relationship going on.
He even had the guts to humiliate her by telling Natalie she had never been able to please him in bed, when she knew that was not true! Anger surged through her and she just wanted to beat that son of a b*tch up. "Take me to a bar." She demanded.
"Don't you want to tell your assistant first that you'll be leaving? She would be worried if you're gone for long." Draven said, his soothing voice gradually making her relax.
Phoenix picked her phone from her purse and called Olivia straight up. "Any awards I have left, go up and represent me. I'll be leaving early. And don't tell Ryan anything about my leaving if he asks you." She said calmly, hanging up before Olivia could say a word. "Can we go to the bar now?"
"As you wish." Draven replied.
The car drove to one of the top ranked bars in the whole city. They got out of the car and headed straight to the VIP floor where Phoenix ordered their strongest alcohol.
Draven didn't stop her as she started to gulp down the content, all he did was admire her beauty as she continued to drink.
"Why haven't you left that scumbag?" Draven finally asked. By now, Phoenix was already starting to get tipsy from the large amounts of alcohol.
"I have to save my father's company from bankruptcy. Ryan's father is a major shareholder that's keeping it afloat, so I can't leave him,," Phoenix explained as she downed another glass of alcohol, coughing out gently. "He has been using me. Beating me, Almost killing me."
Usually, she would never let anyone know the truth about her marriage, but Draven had already seen her husband having an affair. What more was there to hide?
Draven listened attentively to everything she had to say with his arms folded across his chest.
"Why don't you just leave him? You're an A-list actress already and you should have saved up enough to at least buy enough shares from his father to make you a majority shareholder," Draven said, and hearing this, she let out a pained laughter.
"My cheques are all in his name. He pays everyone who works for me and I only get leftovers of my own money. Isn't that ironic?" She asked, downing another glass with a sigh, accompanied by a smack of her lips. "I work my butt off to be the best but I don't even get my own money."
A frown settled on Draven's lips as he heard that. What she said just confirmed his suspicions that Ryan was an abusive husband towards her.
"Why haven't you taken over the Osborne enterprise then? You can still have an advantage over him that way," Draven asked, trying to get more answers from her to clear his suspicions.
"Delilah won't let me do that even though I'm her legal heir. She wants her little Leo to grow up and take over the company from wherever she left off." Phoenix replied as she burst into tears. "I am just an abandoned child, no better than an orphan."
Draven's heart shattered into a million pieces as he saw her cry. He didn't want to seem like a stalker, but he had never seen her cry so openly. He only saw the hurt in her fake expression every time he set eyes on her.
He walked over to her and sat next to her. He pulled her into a hug as she sobbed. After sobbing for a while, she looked up at him with a small smile.
"No one had ever listened to me this well. I have to say, you look so handsome and make me want to do unholy things." She said with a low chuckle. Draven could already tell the alcohol had kicked in and she was completely drunk already.
"Let's get you home." He said, helping her up.
"I don't want to go home." She pouted, grabbing his arm as she started to whine. "I don't want to leave you. I want to stay with you forever."
"Be careful what you wish for, Tigress." He said, a smirk plastered on his face as he lifted her chin to make her look up at him. "I might make your wish come true."
"You're an angel." She said with a small smile, leaning forward as if she wanted to kiss him, but she threw up on him.
Draven closed his eyes with a smile as she fell into his eyes, already asleep. "What will I do with you, Tigress?"
– WHITE PETALS ESTATE… 7:45am –
A soft groan escaped Phoenix's lips as the sun peered through the floor to ceiling window and shone directly into her eyes.
She tossed uncomfortably on the most comfortable bed she has ever laid on. Judging by the texture, she could tell she wasn't in her room. She suddenly tried to sit up but felt a full headache in her head as she tried to remember how she got into this strange room.
The walls were light gray, but everything else in the room, including the window curtains, were white.
The soft sound of doors closing made her turn her head towards the door. "You're finally awake." Draven walked towards her with a tray of steaming hot soup in his hands.
"Master Anderson." She said in a slight panic.
"It's okay, just call me Draven." He said as he placed the tray on the coffee table and strode towards her with a glass of greenish substance. "It'll help with the headache."
Phoenix stared at him and the instant she noticed his differently coloured eyes, she let out a slight scream.
