It had been a week and Sirzechs noticed Grayfia had been making scheduled exits from the castle- her speed a blurring unfathomable force that threatened to even throw him off sometimes.
He leaned against the wall of the Balcony.
"Wonder what Izana has been cooking up?" Sirzechs muttered under his breath.
He should have known better than entrusting a child like Izana with this- but there was something about him, a kind of energy that shrouded him maybe… that forced the Maou to think otherwise.
He still couldn't help but shiver when Izana had mentioned killing the man for the first time, it had made him quite anxious… Grayfia usually stayed out for an hour or two and Sirzechs could see her returning, but she was not as fast as she originally was and she had a horrified look on her face as she approached the Maou.
"Sirzechs, the forest… it's on fire," Grayfia relayed the information and Sirzechs stood there as billowing smoke rolled into the air from the distance- did Izana truly do it?
#####
[Roughly 15 Minutes Earlier]
Izana made his way through the forest, it had already been a week now and he decided to kill off the man- Grayfia didn't come out to this forest to hide, she actually met him once or twice and shared a cup of tea too but anything above being acquaintances was thrown out the window.
He had cloaked his magical levels to avoid getting detected by the devil and decided to do it the old fashioned way… sprinting around the forest. He had made a silent promise to burn this forest down and he wouldn't fail to do so.
If the inn was located solely in the center of the forest, Izana would have dropped by from the sky and dealt with the devil immediately but it was hidden within the thick bushes and trees, Izana was sure he would find it in some more minutes… After all, he had been following the directions Grayfia gave him and within his estimations, Grayfia would take about 15 minutes to reach the Gremory household- cruising at her average speed of course.
'15 minutes will be more than enough,' Izana muttered under his breath as he went through another thicket yet again and sighting a wooden house- despite being crafted by wood and leaves, it was well invented.
Izana leapt onto a tree branch and admired the wooden house, his eyes tracing along every line before he pointed his hand toward the house only for his eyes to turn to the right and find the devil that had been conversing with Grayfia-
Izana didn't understand what reason a human would have to leave a relatively simple civilization like the Devil civilization and head to the forest but he thought they ought to look kept in a way- this devil had waist-length black hair and glowing crimson eyes with two devil wings protruding from his back.
Izana could sense Murderous intent coming from the Devil and he grinned- this would be his first official battle against an adversary and he could already sense he was ridiculously stronger than the said opponent.
"Who are you and what are you doing here?" The devil asked only for Izana to appear right behind him, hands tucked in his pockets and his crimson hair flowing in the forest breeze.
"I believe you are not in the position to ask questions," Izana replied and smirked cockily, "But if you must know- I guess I am the man that's going to kill you,"
The Devil didn't say anything and swung his body to the side erratically, his fist thrusting rapidly through the air like a terrifying gust only for it to be caught effortlessly by the shorter boy.
"Not only do your clothes, hair and body looked raggedy- your smell… It's disgusting," Izana said as he turned to face the man and aimed a kick at the man's stomach.
The kick connected and the devil sprung backward under the intense force of the Kick, yet his body bucked back forward as Izana was still holding his arm- saliva rolled down his mouth as Izana grinned and landed a punch packed with destructive power on the face of the Devil.
The punch was so powerful that the Devil was sent reeling backward and crashing into a tree, he staggered quickly as he felt unbearable pain- his eyes focused on Izana's dominant figure which was still holding his right arm.
"F- Fuck!" He cried out as his eyes widened in alarm, blood erupting from the stub where his right arm used to be.
Izana saw the blood gush but he couldn't feel any less remorse- this man was nothing more than a figure head… this man's death meant his continued life and Izana couldn't feel any guilt.
"I thought you were going to be stronger," Izana said, "But in the end, it seems like I underestimated you,"
Izana raised his palms forward and clasped them within each other, a searing heat engulfing the battleground as he withdrew his right palm- a trail of crimson flames adorning it as he quickly situated his left palm in front, drawing upon the trail of flames like it was an arrow.
"Fuga,"
After that single word, Izana released the hold his right palm had over the arrow of flames and it shot forward, impaling the Devil and the wooden house in one go- the heat around the forest skyrocketed as an explosion of flames occurred, so powerful that they literally engulfed the entire forest within the searing heat…
Yet despite the disastrous onslaught of flames, Izana remained unscathed as he walked out of the burning forest and headed in the southern direction- all the while cloaking his energy to prevent instant detection from Sirzechs. His methods might have been unorthodox but they got the job done quickly and easily.
Izana sighed as he finally settled down, recovering the valuable MP he had used while firing a spell of such caliber.
'Still isn't enough to destroy Shibuya,' Izana thought in disappointment.
