Chapter 26: Outsmarting Sirzechs

Sirzechs stared at the burning forest- Izana surely did a number on it, the entire forest hadn't been spared and even the rocky hills nearby had been burned under the devastating power of Izana's fire spell.

He couldn't sense Izana's energy- but Izana had been the one to say that he would kill off the Devil, maybe he went a little bit too far.

"Who do you think could have done it?" Grayfia asked with a shaky voice.

It sounded like she was worried by the forest… no for a person that was inside, and Sirzechs knew he couldn't give her Izana's name… Sirzechs himself was the one that agreed for her lover to be killed.

"I don't know," Sirzechs replied while folding his hands, the flames rapidly dying down yet Sirzechs and Grayfia could see that the forest had already been burned down-

To the point that there was barely anything left of it.

Under Sirzechs's gaze, Grayfia bolted to the forest below- even as the billowing smoke rose into the air, Grayfia's eyes looked fearful. Sirzechs couldn't help but smile as he felt reassured that this devil was dead.

Izana frowned a little as the door of his study was knocked on, he had been here for about an hour doing some very important research about magic. Izana was really sure that it was Sirzechs- after all, his Maids were well acquainted in the art of knocking to his satisfaction whenever they came to inform him or ask him for something.

"Come in," Izana spoke and the door opened, revealing Sirzechs with a wide smile on his face. 

"Good afternoon," Sirzechs greeted as he entered and closed the door behind him, On instinct, a thick green barrier was quickly erected around the door- made by Izana himself.

'That's an intriguing kind of magic,' Sirzechs thought as he quickly took a seat next to Izana.

"You're looking happy Big brother," Izana said and Sirzechs shrugged, that wide smile was still on his face- 

"It isn't a crime to grin," Sirzechs said, "But to be honest, your work at the forest was something else,"

Izana didn't need to be told that he went the extra mile in making sure that the opponent was dead, sure the Fuga hit his heart and the collision with the house should have caused an instant death BUT there was always a chance- Where there's a will, there's a way. 

Not only did he want to check out the full power of his Fire magic, He wanted to make sure that the devil was exterminated entirely- so that murder couldn't be traced to the Gremory clan, he didn't want there to be a stain on his family name just because he didn't do a clean job in exterminating some filthy side trash.

"The forest explosion- is that what you mean?" Izana asked, his gaze never leaving his book and Sirzechs nodded.

"Yes, why did you blow up the forest?" Sirzechs asked, "I thought you were only going to kill the person on the inside,"

"And let people find out that there was actually a devil living in the forest? Or that the guy had a cool wooden house? Nope, it would be better to eliminate him from the beginning," Izana said while folding his hands, "Besides he wasn't much of a threat to begin with- really weak,"

"Okay although I can't understand why Grayfia would fall for such a man," Sirzechs spoke and I sighed.

"Love happens in many different ways and to many different people, when you're really in love… nevertheless of the shape or size of the person you love, You'll love them no matter what- or so the books say," Izana said.

Sirzechs chuckled lowly.

"Like your relationship with that Agares girl," Sirzechs said.

It took Izana a moment to realize what Sirzechs was hinting at – and he forced himself to blush… the relationship between himself and Seekvaira was nothing more than friends with benefits to him and Seekvaira was giving him all the benefits… 

"Eh, so I'm right?" Sirzechs asked teasingly and Izana averted his gaze from the Maou while grumbling.

"Big brother stop,"

He hated acting like this but if he adopted the act of an adult everytime, Sirzechs would be onto him more and now the Maou had brought about a decent reason not to suspect him of a relationship with Grayfia-

"So when are you going to ask Grayfia out?" Izana asked.

"I'm not an emotionless bastard so I'll wait for the next time I'm around the Gremory mansion, maybe in a month or two," Sirzechs replied.

"Oh Okay, I have studying to get to," Izana said and the Maou disappeared from the room, leaving nothing but residuals in the air as he swiftly exited the room.

Sirzechs had left the Gremory mansion quite a while ago, two hours to be exact and Izana sighed in victory- he had successfully managed to trick the Maou. He was in the Bath tub now, being warmed by the steaming water which Seth had prepared for him to commemorate today.

Seth washed his body and Izana smiled- by the time Sirzechs was back from his monthly trip, he might as well have gotten the chance to bury himself within Grayfia's thighs… not like he couldn't now.

"Master, what do you think Lord Sirzechs will say when he realizes the … plans you have with Lady Grayfia," Seth said and Izana mustered an evil laugh- or something semblant to an evil laugh.

"He'd be unable to speak, he would feel surprised and betrayed as well- I can't wait for it," Izana said and Seth temporarily stopped cleaning his body, only to smile widely.

"Master, whatever way you choose to embark- I will follow you wholeheartedly," Seth said and Izana pursed his lips.

"I know you will," Izana said, "That's why you are my queen," 

"Okay Master, I will not disappoint,"

Izana didn't fail to notice a very eager Maggie leaning against the door of the bathroom, eavesdropping on their conversation with glee.
