Whenever I come across a new Genshin Impact fanfic on MTL, I always hope there's a romance or harem in it to give me a sweet taste. But the reality often slaps me, as many of them contain herbivorous MCs and annoying workaholic MCs. Many chapters contain scenes of male characters telling insignificant blah blah blah and focus on MCs selling novels, opening internet cafes, opening restaurants, selling urns, and all that without feeling any attraction to the opposite sex. It's frustrating and I feel like an eunuch reading through hundreds of chapters, but the MC has never once gotten a kiss or anything better from the heroines! Who cares about that Zhongli or Itto? Unless you get them in a gacha game. I'm not interested in hearing the male characters' stories at all! I know I'm biased, but I'd rather see male and female interactions than male and male. At least if it's in a novel.
