Chapter 20: Making Money

Another day arrived in Mu City, but this time there was no morning sun or that gentle sea breeze. It was cold and bitter while raining heavily, reflecting the current state of Mu City with the war that is going between families. Nan'Ke had already dressed in one of his business suits ready to go out for the day, as he had become a martial artist his daily task of exercising had been rescinded as it pose no benefit to him in terms of Life Points, but that didn't stop from doing a few push ups here and there to get accustom to his new found strength.

Making his way out the house and getting into the car he order, 'I really need to get my own car' he thought. As much of planning and scheming he does within his mind, buying a car always seem at the bottom of the list. He was on his way to the local stock exchange center, where he would open up his own local and foreign trading accounts.

His plan was to have a record for the government to at least determine where his money comes from before opening his investment firm. As when the firm opens the money he would generate by using 'TradeMoore' would probably exceed the country's GDP. The program works by analyzing and predicting the flows of stock prices. It would buy the stock at the cheapest price possible for the day and sell it at the most expensive price for the day. With its predictive capabilities making a lost was indeed not on the cards, unless someone deliberately mess with the stock market, which would cause an impact but not necessarily a major blow.

After arriving Nan'Ke went through the regulatory process of providing his necessary documents such as his bank statement and property deed. After that he immediately deposited $1 million dollars in both the local and foreign trading accounts before heading back home.

On the car ride home, Nan'Ke didn't forget to check the whereabouts of Mu Yen, seeing he was already outside he figured he might as well take action.

'So he is still at the Villa, looks like he is not planning to leave anytime soon'. After knowing he wouldn't be succeeding today he left towards home, unbeknownst to him someone was tailing him.

After arriving home Nan'Ke immediately got to work, he uploaded his program into the trading platform so it can begin its work. The process was simple enough but Nan'Ke only uploaded it to his foreign account for now. He was banking on the exchange rate between currencies. His foreign trading account would only trade in Free-land Country and the United Brits Nations. The current exchange rate for the two was similar where the former had a rate of 1:8 while the latter came in at 1:6. This meant in terms of actual money he only had $125,000 Freedom dollars while only $166,000 in United pounds.

The program was ready however due to the time difference the market for foreign countries was close. He did not mind, as he was about to start his next business venture. A few days ago he had ask his lawyer to complete the transaction with the various companies that had their security breach and he was waiting on the remaining three companies payment that was supposed to arrive today. So he made a call to his attorney to clarify the situation.

It didn't take long before notifications appeared on his phone telling him about the money transfer. In total he had received an additional $53 million dollars making it a total of $108 million dollars he had received form various companies. With his new capital he called a friend in Bai Xiu Xiu, "Hey Xiu Xiu I got another job for you" he spoke "what can I help with Nan'er" she answered. It showed that they were very comfortable with each other. Nan'Ke didn't mind the endearing name as she was 6 years older than him and he really respected her, her being genuine was a plus for him as well.

"I want to buy all the properties with 10km of the warehouse I bought, is that possible through you?" He ask as he didn't want to go to another agency as he had already built some trust with LongWei agency through Xiu Xiu. "No we can handle that seeing the properties have been neglected over time it wouldn't be a problem" She said. "Okay you can bring the necessary documents over and I would transfer the money, we could have lunch while your here." Nan'Ke responded with a hint of flirt in his voice, not to be caught in surprise Xiu Xiu answered back "oh my, is this you asking me for a date? How bold." "Well what can I say, a beauty like you, I can't afford not to ask out" he said. "Well let's consider it a date." She wasn't put off by the age gap, as he showed maturity whenever they spoke and he was also sincere when speaking to her so she like him a bit.

'Okay so now that is settled, it time for a new place to stay. Although this is close the university I wouldn't be using it much, so I would rent out an apartment that's directly across from the campus entrance. One of those luxurious condos, it would pose great and show me as a person with a special status. I will need that among the students as I would choose the best to work for me. Speaking of which I need two secretaries, one for the company and one for personal life as well'.

He thought for a while before deciding on hacking the university to gain access to student records and details to determine who was the best in their respective studies. His criteria for the secretary position was a 4th year student who is about to graduate or anyone above that level. It's a win win in his view as they would be inexperienced, all they would have to do is follow his order while they gain experience and knowledge from him, he would also pay them well.

He pulled out two names form the university database, Qiao Meng Yao and Li Na. Both at the top of their classes. Qiao Meng Yao studies liberal arts while Li Na focuses on business and economic finance. He quickly determined who would be the personal secretary and who would be the business secretary. Although the position differ they would work together to create a schedule for him and manage his daily duties from business to regular life. He had hope to set up an interview before entering the campus so he would call them after dealing with the Mu's.

Meanwhile those that were following him earlier on in the day had reported his footprints to their employer as well as his current location. They weren't the only ones across Mu City looking for him with his photo in their hands. Mu Chen had used 'Ninth Heaven' networking with the help of the Mei twins to have people position in different parts of the city to see if they can spot and track his whereabouts.

"Mako, how fast can you act?" Mu Chen asked. Since his family was facing extinction from other families he decided it was best to get rid of the source that plague them. He also had another goal in mind, since Nan'Ke could control 'The Correction' he would too if he removes him. "Everything is already, we can proceed tonight, if necessary" Mako replied.

"Okay good, you are to break his legs and bring him to me at the hideout location. He has some information I need" Mu Chen told Mako before leaving for 'Ninth Heaven's' hideout to wait on the good news of his adversary's capture.

It was already nightfall in Mu City, three blacked out vans was seen on the outskirts of Jade Community. Each van consisting of 6 individuals, making a total of 18 people arm with blunt and sharp weapons ready to pounce on their target. It didn't take long to forcefully enter the gated community by knocking out a few guards before making their way to Nan'ke house. Nan'ke was awake at the moment, drawing a planning chart for his future companies.

*BANG*

Just then his front door was kicked open, and persons with weapons coming storming in. It didn't take long for a fight to ensue. He was surrounded by people with baseball bats and wooded two by fours. Although he was taking no damage he was feeling every bit of pain. But he fought back using his wits, he use his skill [Eagle Eye] to predict further attacks while his martial arts [Refined Fist Set] was dropping bodies of people with one blow each.

After 5 minutes all intruders were on the floor either knocked out or in excruciating pain. The only one standing was Mako, who was shocked to see Nan'ke's performance in this battle. He pulled out a knife ready to stab him but Nan'ke quicky grabs his wits before twisting it, "Mu Chen really try to interfere, huh." He said as he stared into Mako's eyes, "Lets thank him for the new ornamentals he sent me" he spoke as he was again going to use liquid nitrogen to help dispose of the body, however it going to be different than before.
