Soon after, he was bringing her home every time, not wanting to spend a second without her. He was always reluctant to part with her once they arrive. He would shower her with kisses, slow and tender, hard and passionate in hope of drugging her with the same passion that plagued him. But night after night, she found a way out, leaving him high and dry, frustrated. She didn't mind doing so to him because he would only sulk and then go back to normal after a moment of disappointment. It was on one of these occasions that he had invited her to a birthday party after grousing, grumbling and sulking for no less than five minutes.
'I hate parties,' she had said. 'Must I attend?' he nodded.
'Yes, you must Chloe.'
'Alright,' she sighed. 'What shall I wear?' she had asked him. 'A dress, Jeans and tees or a suit?' he had laughed.
'Dress as if you were going on a date with me,' he said to her. 'We'll ditch the party sometime after and go for dinner.' The information made her look at his quizzically.
'You sound as if you would rather be somewhere else than the party?'
'I'll rather be with you Chloe,' he said smiling mischievously. She blushed lightly.
'That is not what I am asking Clement,' she snapped tenderly at him. He laughed. 'Clement,' she said in a warning tone.
'I'm sorry,' he apologized quickly. 'You were saying?' he asked her.
'Why then are you going to the party if you would rather not be there? We might as well plan an early date and end with dinner rather than be stuck at a party you really don't want to be at. Isn't that better?'
'It's mandatory that I must be present if not I'ld gladly ditch it to be with you.' She smiled as he nuzzled her neck. She pushed him away gently.
'Fine,' she moaned. 'I'll come. Is it a business dinner? Who shall be in attendance?'
'When you come, you shall know.'
'Whatever,' was her nonchalant response. She gasped as he took her lips and kissed her.
