Chapter 8

"I can't believe he actually got kicked out," I mumble to myself while I turned around to walk away, but instead I bumped into somebody causing me to fall.

"Watch where you are going, shorty." I hear someone say and I look up at a tall blonde kid and his friend. Before I could even say anything they both walked around me, leaving me there on the ground.

"Jerks," I mumbled to myself while I get up

'I wonder where Kageyama and Hinata are practicing.' I think to myself while I wander around our school campus until I see them next to a tree

I turned on my heel to leave when suddenly I hear Hinata call out to me

"Hey, L/N!" I hear him call so I glance back at the two

"Hey, Hinata," I say with a smile while he runs over to me

"Do you want to join us L/N? Its boring with just Kageyama." Hinata says and I glanced back at Kageyama and laugh a bit

"I guess I can stay for a couple because I have to go home to clean up from unpacking yesterday," I say and Hinata happily dragged me to where they were practicing.

"What are you doing here?" I hear Kageyama say and before I could say anything Hinata quickly spoke

"I asked her to join us, cause its boring with just you."

"But I can only stay for a couple of minutes, I have to head home soon so I can finish unpacking," I say and he just nods before he tosses the ball into the air

"Don't think just because you're a girl I will go easy on you," Kageyama says before he hit the ball at me

"That thought never crossed my mind," I say while I receive the ball, sendig it right back towards him

"Kageyama hit me one that hard!" Hinata whined and Kageyama glanced at Hinata before hitting the ball straight at Hinata and the ball hit his face

"Ouch," I mumbled to myself while Kageyama caught the ball that was coming back towards him

"You're not supposed to receive the ball with your face, you idiot," Kageyama said while Hinata got off the ground

"I received didn't I?" Hinata said in defense

"Here Y/N spike it at me," Kageyama said while he set the ball in the air

I looked back at Hinata almost to say 'Watch me' before I jumped and spiked the ball down at Kageyama

Kageyama received the ball hitting it back towards me

"See thas how you receive it," Kageyama commented while I caught the ball

"Hinata, how long have you played volleyball?" I ask while I spin the ball in my hands

"Since middle school, but I didn't have a team so I practiced a lot on my own," Hinata said and I my eyes widened

"Wait, so you have never practiced with a team."

"Well, not a team of my own. I would practice with the girl's volleyball team sometimes, and I had some friends help me every now and then."

"Yea, but you still suck." Kageyama butted in and I sighed before saying

"Would it hurt you to be nice once in a while."

"Its the truth, he sucks at both serves and receives. Two main parts of the game."

"But I can jump!" Hinata said and I remember what he said to me earlier

'I think I can jump higher.'

I was about to ask Hinata if I could see him spike, butI looked at my phone that told me the time

"I should get going." I said while I walked towards my bag and picked it up

"See you tomorrow L/N!" Hinata chripped and I smiled and waved at the both of them

"See you guys later!"

I walked into our apartment and threw my bag down on the couch.

"I'm so hungry," I complained to myself while I went through the maze of boxes that blocked my way to get to the kitchen.

'He better be coming back soon, so he can unpack himself.' I think to myself while I finally made it to the fridge and opened the door.

I looked around the fridge a bit and wondered what I should eat.

"Yogurt!" I say happily while I pulled one out, but realized it was on Kageyama's side of the fridge

"Eating just one of his yogurts wont hurt, right?" I say while I looked at the stack of yogurts he had.

'I'll pay him back later.' I thought to myself while I walked back through the box maze with the yogurt in my hand

I sat down on the couch and opened up my backpack and pulled out my books so I could study while I ate.

I heard he front door open causing me to wake up from my nap.

'I guess I didnt study.' I thought to myself while I sat up and looked at a pissed off Kageyama

"Hey whats up." I say while I rubbed my eyes

"YOU ATE ONE OF MY YOGURTS!" He yelled suddenly causing me to flinch

"Its just a yogurt, its not that big of a deal." I defend myselfand he shook his head

"I said not to touch my stuff on my side of the fridge."

"I'll buy you one when I go to the store next time." I said and he shook his head

"Go and get me one now."

"But its dark out."

"Go." He said more sternly and I rolled my eyes while I got up

"IF I GET KIDNAPPED ITS YOUR FAULT!" I yelled while I walked towards the door and slammed the door shut.

"I swear he doesnt have to be so mean about it." I mumbled to myself while I walked towards a small store

I walked into the store and quickly headed towards the dairy aile

"Um, exuse me." I asked the worker who looked at me "Do you guys have yogurt by chance?" I asked and the lady shook her head no

"I think one down the street might have on." She said with a smile

"Thank you." Was all I could say while I walked out of the store, then realized what down the street ment.

"I swear its all your fault Kageyama." I said while I started to walk down the street that went straight through the park.
